Pity and Pain

Benji's POV

It has been hours since I woke up in this hellhole. I hadn't cried throughout my time here, although I could've as no one has visited me. I hear them, shuffling above me. I can watch where they go as sawdust drops from the ceiling with each step. Every so often, a scream or yell break the silence. This was worse than the store. No one around, not quiet, not safe. I want Leo back. I want my new life back. I wasn't ready to be thrown away yet. The thought of it and Leo still alive brought tears to my eyes. I forced them to retreat though as I wasn't going to show these vile creatures my weakness.

So I just sat there and waited, and waited, and waited a little more. It felt like the sun had rose and fell in the time I've been waiting. My stomach was beginning to groan and I felt weak, barely able to stay upright or keep my eyes open. But again I wasn't going to show my weakness or sleep with them still nearby.

The next ache to arrive was my bladder. I hadn't went in ages and really needed to go. I pondered just wetting myself but I didn't want to have to lay in my own piss. So I whined, and cried as loudly as I could to try and get the creatures attention. I didn't want to have to see any of them but it was a necessity.

"What does that little bastard need now? Go and deal with it, whore." One of the original intruders screamed with fire bellowing from his rough lungs.
I heard tiny footsteps creep towards the basement door and finally open it. Light danced round the room making all the trash sparkle. I covered my eyes at the sudden bright intrusion but as they adjusted, I saw a frail, beaten women tip-toe down the shanty stairs.
"What do you want?" She asked, voice low enough to class as a whisper and scratchy. I knew why it was like it, it helped explain the bruises around her neck. She'd been strangled recently. Poor thing. Wait... but she's a creature from upstairs. She vile and cruel. How could I pity her?
"I haven't got much time, what do you want?" She asked again a little louder.
I didn't really know how to tell her without just pointing to my crotch so unfortunately that's what I had to do. She just looked at me in confusion.
"I do enough of that upstairs, so I'm not doing it with you as well. Besides I'll be killed if I did." She answered eventually and started going back upstairs.
I quickly whined trying to get her to return. She turned around.
"What?"
Now I know it's a dog thing to do but it's the best I could come up with so I just cocked my leg as best as I could in the cramped area I had. Hopefully she'll understand that.
"Oh, you need a piss. Why didn't you just say that?" She did thank god. She didn't moved back though, she just waited thinking.

After a while, she carried on walking upstairs and left me. I was bursting and whined and clawed for her to come back but she didn't. What a bitch. And I pitied her. Soon after though, I heard some mumbling and then she returned. She silently walked over to my cage door and opened it, letting me free. I thought about running but I knew she'd catch me so I tentatively stepped out watching her expression. Suddenly, she raised her arm and I froze and covered my head expecting another punch. However, nothing came so I peeked out and saw she was pointing at the corner of the room that was empty.
"Do your business over there." I walked over quickly trying to escape her range and watched her. She sighed and turned around, back facing me. So did my leak and then returned. She shut and locked the cage behind me, and swiftly returned upstairs.

I was alone once again. My stomach ached as did my eyes. Banging and shouting continued from upstairs. I couldn't fight anymore and I passed out. The last thing I remember is wishing this was all a dream.

Two chapters in one week! Impossible. I'm just bored so there's the explanation. Also sorry for a short chapter. It's just because what happens next needs it own chapter so that'll be why. I hope you all aren't too upset about Leo and Benji's current position but I have a plan so don't worry too much.
