When I awoke, I was no longer in a car or in the presence of new master. Just in a quaint bedroom in a nice comfy bed. I was still a bit groggy so I scanned the features of the room before finally getting up. There was a door to the left and in front me was two doors that I guessed was a closet. And to the right was a window. I finally got up and looked out said window looking at the landscape below. It was beautiful with light green grass and magnificent hedges. Colourful borders with huge textures and smells of flowers I would guess.
I moved on and went to the two double doors and opened them to, yes, find an empty closet. After becoming aquatinted with my new surrounding, I decided to explore further. I timidly crept toward the door making sure to make as little noise as possible. I grasped the handle and pulled down but it wouldn't go. I tugged harder and harder until I realised it must be locked. It was nerve-racking and slightly suffocating being in a room I couldn't get out of.
To take my mind off this fact I checked different draws to find a way of escape. Nothing. So I succumbed to having to wait. After a long while, I heard loud feet trudging up stairs. I anticipated the door swinging open but it didn't immediately. The feet just stopped at the door. I didn't make a sound and even quietened my breathing. Soon enough the door swung open and out emerged a worried faced man, the same man that seemed so dominant yesterday but now showed some human emotion. I was still afraid of him and his presence quickened my breathing but it wasn't as bad now. Now he proved he may be human.
However, his expression didn't last long as he saw me staring at him.
"Ah, your awake" I kept staring at him blankly, waiting for him to make the first move.
"Are you gonna say anything?" He said.
I didn't answer.
"Well, umm... are you hungry?" I just nodded lightly.
"Well, I'm making breakfast downstairs if you'd like to join me?" He asked, his voice gentle and relaxing. Although I knew it was just an act. They all did that. However, before I could do or say anything he left the room and was walking down stairs.Eventually, curiosity and hunger got the better of me so I followed.
