Chapter 4

As I turned around, I couldn't help but squeal in pure happiness as I saw my best friend

"Bucky!"

I ran up to him and jumped in his arms. He picked me up and spun me around. When he set me down, everyone in the room had shocked faces, even Natasha was a little shocked. When I looked at Steve, he had a slight look of jealousy. ooo someone has a crush. Perfect for my best friend.

Sam cleared his throat and asked, "so how do you know each other?"

I couldn't help it when my face slightly dropped at that question. Bucky thankfully answered the question for me.

"Oh it's a long story but we've known each other for a while."

"So are you guys like dating?"

I couldn't help but laugh loudly at Steve's question.

"Oh, Stevie boy. God no. I'm gay and so is Buck."

When I said this, I looked at Natasha to see her reaction but she seemed deep in thought. She did have a slight smirk though. Wanda then spoke up "Alright I'll show Naomi to her room."

She got up from her chair and started walking towards the door but waited for me. I gave Bucky a quick hug and told him that we could catch up later. As Wanda and I were walking down the hall she asked "so how are you liking it so far?"

"it's pretty good, you all seem nice except Natasha."

"Yea that was a pretty intense moment back there. I don't know why she is being so hard on you, she was really nice to me when I first came."

"It's probably because of you know who."

"Yea but I can tell you don't like him and you aren't working with him. It's pretty hard to fake your hatred for someone you are supposed to love. I at least trust you and know that you'll be a great addition to the team."

I smiled slightly at her. "Thanks, Wanda. I can tell we will be great friends."

Wanda then suddenly stopped in front of a door. "So this will be your room. This is the girl's floor. I'm right across the hall. To the right of your room is Natasha's and then the room in front of hers is Carol's but she is usually on a different planet. There are also more guest rooms for more people who come."

"Ok thank you."

"No problem. Also, ask JARVIS if you need anything. He is the AI around here."

I nodded my head and then walked into my room. The room was huge but it was plain. I made a mental note to go shopping for stuff to decorate with. I walked to my bathroom, which was pretty spacious. There was a big walk-in shower and then a very cool-looking tub. There were also two sinks and a toilet. It was your basic bathroom except more luxurious. As I was walking out of the bathroom, Bucky and Wanda were sitting on my bed.

"Good, you're ready. We are going shopping."

"Um, why?"

"Well, Wanda told me that your room would be pretty plain and said we should all go shopping."

"Sure." I gave Wanda a smile in appreciation.

"Alright let's go."

As we were leaving we ran into Tony. "Where do you guys think you're going?"

"We are going shopping for my room."

"Oh well here. I've been meaning to give you this. It's a card that you can use and it will charge me."

"Ok bet. Thanks, Tony."

I gave him a quick hug and then we walked to the elevators. As the doors were closing, I saw Natasha running and trying to get in the elevator. I continuously hit the close button which caused Bucky and Wanda to laugh. Right as the doors were about to close, a hand stopped them from closing. Just great. She stepped into the elevator and the only space was beside me. Even greater. As the elevator started going down, Natasha leaned into me and whispered "You know when most people ask someone to hold the elevator, they do it."

"Well you didn't ask, you were just running. Plus I didn't think you would trust me enough to hold the door for you."

"I don't."

Instead of causing a big argument, I just mumbled under my breath "this is exactly why I kept hitting the close button."

I'm guessing she heard me because when the elevator opened she let out a huff and just walked away. She is honestly such a bitch. Once we stepped out of the elevator, Bucky and Wanda busted out laughing. Such great friends they are.

"Shut up."

When we got in the car, they were still laughing. since I was driving, I turned the music up and started driving to target. Once we got there, we grabbed two shopping carts and started our shopping frenzy. I grabbed so much stuff to the point we needed another cart. Our total came out to be over two thousand dollars. I may have gone a little overboard. Oh well, Tony's rich. He won't care.

Ok, so I was wrong. Tony was very mad but in my defense, it was for my room. Of course, I was going to spend a lot, I needed a lot of stuff. When I was in the middle of trying to put stuff and decorate, Steve came and told me it was time for dinner. As we were walking to the kitchen, I asked Steve "so you have a crush on Bucky?"

Steve instantly started to blush. "Wha- no I don-"

"it's ok Steve, your secret is safe with me. How about this, tonight I'll let you sit beside him so you guys can talk."

Steve just shyly nodded his head while I walked with a huge smile on my face. My smile instantly dropped when I walked into the kitchen. The only two seats available were by Natasha and Bucky. Wonderful. As Steve walked over to the seat by Bucky, I slowly walked to the seat by Natasha. When I sat down, I heard a snicker from across the table and then another one. Of course, it was Bucky and Wanda. I kicked Wanda in the shin to get her to shut up. I'm glad she was sitting across from me. Clint finally broke the silence. "So Naomi, how are you liking it so far?"

"it's been really good except for one um thing."

Bucky then coughed out "person"

I just rolled my eyes and continued "it's going to take some time getting used to being around so many people but I think it will be fun.'

"I'm glad to hear that."

We all continued to have little discussions here and there but I couldn't help but feel a little tense sitting beside Natasha. What if she just randomly decided to kill me. I could also feel her constantly looking over at me and it was very aggravating. So when I caught her looking at me I asked her "What?"

She just shrugged her shoulders and went back to eating. This bitch. As I was getting another bite of food, Steve spoke up. "So Naomi from tomorrow and on you'll be training with Nat."
