Natasha's POV
I watched as Naomi closed her eyes, accepting her fate.
"Dammit, pull your knife!"
I wish she could understand what I was saying or read my mind, literally anything. I can't accept the fact she will lose, in fact, I won't.
I tried to launch myself over the railing in front of me but two arms wrapped around me.
"Let me go."
I tried to tear myself out of Bucky's arms.
"You are going to get yourself killed Natasha."
"I don't care if it's for her."
"She told me to protect you."
I kept thrashing against his arms but stopped when her screams filled my ears.
Tears filled my eyes as he slowly started to drag his blade across her skin.
I thought 'This was it. This is the end'
However, I was thankfully wrong. Through the pain, she was able to reach back and hit him where the sun doesn't shine. It didn't affect him much but enough to knock him off and for her to get out of his hold. She was losing too much blood and anybody could see that by the way she swayed slightly. She barely had any fight left in her
He, unlike Naomi, was able to quickly recover and he made an advance towards her.
A gasp filled the arena as his blade went straight through her abdomen.
He held her tight as both of them fell to the ground, him on top.
My ears started to ring as I took in the site in front of me. Neither one of them was moving and I feared that maybe that was the final blow. I could hear Wanda sobbing next to me and a few almost slipped past my lips but I was too in shock.
This time Bucky couldn't hold me back as I jumped the railing and ran towards her, he actually followed me.
When I approached them, I rolled his body off of hers and when he landed on his back, I saw my knife in his upper left chest, right in the heart.
My attention quickly switched to Naomi and she was staring aimlessly at the sky, she was still alive unlike her cousin but barely.
I avoided the blade and grabbed her face in my hands bringing her dazed attention to me.
"Baby you did it, you won. Now just stay with me."
She was too far gone, I knew she wasn't understanding anything I was saying.
She was bleeding from everywhere, she needed help immediately.
"Pietro, get her to the jet now!"
The next thing I knew she was out of my hold and gone.
The whole team started to run back to the jet, Wanda however picked me up and flew me over there.
We were the second ones to make it on the jet. Tony flew Bruce over first and Bruce was already working on her as well as some new technology. Tony has been preparing for this moment, hell we all have. We may have the best doctors and technology but I don't know if we could save her. There was so much blood. All I wanted to do was take her in my arms and hold her but I know I shouldn't get in the way. They are trying to do everything they can right now.
So many emotions were swirling inside me at the moment and I felt like I was going to explode. I wanted to help her but this is way beyond me, I can't help her in this state.
My ears perked when I heard constant beeping and when I looked over her heart monitor was reading a straight line, she had no heartbeat.
I couldn't be here. I couldn't be in this room watching her die. I should've trained and prepared her more. God, I'm so stupid. Why did I let her push me away? Damn it.
When I got over to the next room in the jet, I grabbed the closest thing to me, which happened to be a glass, and threw it against the wall. I then continued to tear apart the room before completely breaking down. I slid my back down against the wall and brought my knees into my chest. I sobbed into my arms, feeling scared that maybe I wouldn't ever see her alive again. I couldn't do this. I need her, she is my whole life. What am I going to do?
