I was currently getting ready for a party that Tony decided to throw. Apparently, we all need to let steam off since our last mission, even though it was a month ago. Natasha and I have not talked about the time she hugged me, instead everything went back to how it usually is, us bickering. I told Wanda and Bucky about it and they keep insisting that I need to talk to her but I refuse.

As I made my way down to the party in my short dress, my eyes instantly found Natasha's. She was wearing a simple black dress but she made it look stunning. I tore my eyes from hers and went to get myself a drink. I then went to find Wanda, who was talking to Vision. You could see the loving look in their eyes that they would give each other. Steve and Bucky soon joined us and I was starting to feel left out like I was missing something. No, someone. I want what they have, someone who could look at me like Wanda looks at Vision. Or someone who could protect me like Steve does to Bucky.

I sighed and told the others that I was going to get a drink. On my way, I ran into someone and I almost fell before they caught me.

"Sorry miss, I wasn't looking where I was going."

"No it's my fault, I was lost in thought."

"Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm Luke."

He then took my hand and kissed it. Luke was a good-looking guy, he was well built and tall. He had brown hair and blue eyes.

"I'm Naomi."

"Well Naomi, may I get you a drink for running into you?"
"Of course."

I couldn't help myself. He was so charming, he could make any girl swoon over him.

We ended up talking all night, telling each other stories about ourselves but I made sure to keep my secrets. The whole night I could feel eyes watching me but I chose to ignore it. Throughout the night, I could feel myself getting drunker and drunker.

"Alright, I think you have had enough for tonight Naomi."

"Ugh, you sound like Natasha."

Luke just let out a small laugh.

"Where's your room?"

"The sixth floor."

He then grabbed my hand and started to lead me towards the elevator. Once we made it to my floor, I told him which room was mine. He then opened the door and led me to my bed. I took my shoes off and got under the covers.

"Alrighty, I put my number in your phone so just text me when you wake up."

He kissed my forehead and I flashed him a smile. when he left, he left my door open a little so I could see into the hallway. As I felt my eyes getting heavier, I saw a certain redhead peek into my room. She looked around the room and then stared at my dazed and drunken state. With a shake of her head, she left while closing the door behind her.

While I was falling asleep, I thought back to Luke. He seemed like a very good person and he was so charming. But that's the funny thing, they all seem so charming until they show you their true selves.
