Thomas Berton Testifies
Court came in session at 9:00 AM and the Prosecution started by calling lead homicide detective Thomas Berton to testify and he stated that the Defendants daughter Cassie found her mom dead in the pool at 6:30 in the morning and than at 6:32 she called police then Detective Berton said that after he called the defendant he confessed to the murder but then the Defense cross examined Detective Berton and asked what evidence was found after the confession and he said that he and his team found a blood stained Rolling Pin and Blood on a knife and a blood footprint as well as blood on the ground of the defendants estate then the Defense asked Berton if he ever had an incident while on the force and he said that during a traffic stop he saw that the driver had a busted tailgate and when he asked the driver he got punched in the nose and he shot the driver which left the driver wounded but after the driver recovered he was charged with Assaulting a Officer then Detective Berton left the court and returned home with his wife and 2 sons then Court adjourned until 9:00 AM tomorrow
