"Is everything alright Amanda?" Tanong ni Guzman.

I shook my head. I ignored his message and put my phone inside of my bag.

"It's nothing. My friend just texted me to grab some take outs for him." Pagsisinungaling ko.

Napansin ko na nakatitig ito sakin.

"What?" I asked while smiling.

"Your father was right. He said he have the most beautiful daughter."

Napangiti naman ako lalo sa sinabi niya.

"I didn't know you that you're good at flirting." Natatawa kong sabi. Natawa rin si Guzman sa sinabi ko.

"Okay I'm not trying to flirt. I'm just complementing you. Besides, your father is gonna kill me." Natatawa nitong sagot.

"But seriously, my offer is always open for you. If you change your mind....." Huminto si Guzman at may kinuha sa loob ng coat niya. Inabot niya naman sakin yung calling card niya.

"Just call me." Dagdag nito. Kinuha ko naman yung calling card niya.

"I'll make sure to think about it."  Nakangiti kong sagot. Nilagay ko naman yung calling card niya sa pouch ko.

Bumalik na ako sa apartment ni Leo. Bubuksan ko na sana yung pintuan pero agad itong bumukas.

"Where have you been? I called you multiple times." Pagtataka nito.

"I went to the coffee shop. I thought you went to work already??" Tanong ko.

"I did. But someone came to my clinic. He's asking to see you, so I brought him here."

Napakunot yung noo ko sa sinabi niya. Shit. That must be Hasy.

"I'll leave you two alone. I have a lot of appointment today." Nagmamadaling paalam ni Leo at saka umalis.

Pumasok na ako sa loob at ni-lock yung pinto. Humarap ako----

"Devon!?" Gulat kong sabi.

I was expecting to see Hasy but he's not here.

"I missed you so much." Nakangiti nitong sabi.

Tumayo ito sa pagkaka-upo. Napansin ko na may mga paper bags at boxes sa ibabaw ng table na nasa tapat nito. May malaking square box rin na puno ng pink roses at nakapalibot na fairy lights.

Lumapit sakin si Devon at niyakap ako ng mahigpit.

"I came back as soon as I can. I wanted to surprise you, and I didn't forget to bring something with me."

Kumalas ito ng pagkakahawak.

"Do you want to see the jewelries I got you? Some of them are customized. I made sure to get the bigger stone, just like you want it." Dagdag pa nito.

"Why are you? I thought you were married already? You can't be here Devon." Pagaalala ko.

"That's my surprise. The wedding is cancelled. Alessa's dad had a heart attack. He's under medication now. We all decided to move the wedding next year so they can focus on his dad's health. "

"I came here alone. But Alessa will be back here next week to take over their company here for his dad." Dagdag pa nito.

Napayuko naman ako sa sinabi niya. Gusto kong ikwento sakanya yung nangyari nung wala siya, since Devon and I have a good relationship. We're not just fucking.
