Chapter - 4

"Louis," Niall says keeping his hand on Louis' shoulder, "I'm so sorry mate, I really didn't know that this would happen."

"It's... It's alright Niall, it isn't your fault."

Louis runs away to the field directly because that's where he goes when he's sad, it's his comfort place. He starts kicking the football to the net, bring it back to position and kicking it again. He keeps doing that aggressively for a few minutes then breaks down, he sits alone in the middle of the field and starts crying. 

Poor Louis, all he wanted was some love, what did he do wrong? Maybe princess found out what Louis is actually like and she doesn't like him anymore. Maybe all these letters were just some random dude playing a prank on him. Maybe Louis doesn't deserve love after all. 

What is he doing? Louis cannot let anyone see him like this, so weak and vulnerable. Get up Louis, and go to your class now. Man up. But to man up doesn't mean to be emotionless, can't men have feelings? Louis is sad and his gender doesn't change the fact. So he stays there. He's trying to stop crying, but it's of no use. He is hurt and no one can help it.

"Louis."

Of course, it's Harry.

"Why are you here? What do you want?" Louis says with a trembling voice, wiping away his tears.

"I saw you cry and came to see you."

"Well, congratulations then Harry, now you can tell the entire school that Louis Tomlinson was crying in the middle of the field like a weakling. Go away and tell them, I don't care about you or your revenge plans, or anything at all."

"Lou, why would you say that? I'm not telling anyone anything. I just came here because you looked sad and I thought we were friends, I came to check up on you. But if you want me to go away or you want to stay alone, I'll go," Harry says as he turns away and starts leaving. 

Why is Louis being rude to Harry, it's not his fault at all. Louis doesn't want him to go, he wants him to stay. Is it appropriate to stop him now? Fuck appropriateness, he needs to stop Harry.

"No, wait. Please stay, I'm sorry for being rude. I need someone right now, please stay," Louis says bursting into tears.

Harry walks towards Louis and sits beside him on the grass. Harry doesn't know what he's supposed to do now so he just wraps his arms around Louis as if to protect him from everything bad in this world. 

Louis lets his head sink in Harry's chest and keeps crying, wetting his T-shirt. All that matters right now is Harry's arm on Louis' head, and the other one, around his upper back. Louis feels so safe in these arms, he feels okay now, he feels strong. Nothing can harm him in the slightest way now that he has Harry. 

After some time, when Louis is done with all the crying, he hears something. It's actually Harry's heartbeat. His heart is beating so fast right now, Louis swears it would run out of his body if it was possible. Is Louis causing this? Does Harry not like being with Louis and wants to run away? Maybe that's why his heart is racing. Louis shouldn't be so selfish and should let Harry go now. But, he doesn't want to, he wants to stay here like this all day.

Harry realizes that Louis has stopped crying, so he gently releases him from his grip and asks, "Are you okay now?"

"Yeah... " Louis says, "I guess I feel better."

"Can I go now or do you want me to stay?"

Louis definitely wants him to stay, but again, Harry clearly wants to go and Louis is not that selfish. 

"It's okay, you can go."

"You sure?"

"Yes, I'm alright."
