Chapter - 8

Harry is got to be kidding right now. Amelia? Really? That bitch? She's a liar, a cheater, why would he like her?

"Harry, if you don't mind, can I ask you something?"

"Sure... "

"Why her?"

"Why did you like her?"

"Um... because of the letters... I thought that they were really cute."

"She didn't even write them."

"How do you know Harry?"

"Louis, Niall is my best friend, he knows everything, and so do I."

Harry has a point here. Niall would definitely tell him if he was doing something like this.

"Harry, so you... you knew about the letters too?" Louis asks. 

After a few minutes of silence, Harry replies with a question, "Louis, do you remember what you said to me the first time we met?"

"Um... not really, I was five, how am I supposed to remember anything? And what does this have to do with the letters?"

"Never mind, I... I was... no. No, Louis, I did not know about the letters. I just knew that Amelia didn't write them."

Thank god at least Harry didn't lie to him.

"Harry why exactly did you think that Amelia wouldn't say yes to you?"

"Because she liked you... "

Oh wow, Harry doesn't know, does he?

"No she doesn't, it was for a - "

Shut up Louis, if you tell him then he's gonna ask her out and then Harry will never be yours. He won't be Louis' anyway, he likes someone else. Harry is probably straight as well. Louis should stop wasting his time like this, Harry will never date him.  

"For a what, Louis?" Harry asks.

"Nothing. You're right, she loves me. But what about that time you told me that you thought it was mutual?"

"Because I did... But then you guys started dating and I... I just felt hurt."

No, Harry cannot be hurt because of Louis, this isn't good. Even if this means that Harry will be dating Amelia, Louis doesn't mind. He'll do anything to make Harry smile.

Louis doesn't know if he's hurt right now, or just surprised. Whatever it is, it feels like his life has no meaning anymore. He wants Harry, he needs him in his life. Louis can try a million times to be happy for Harry, but he just cannot be, he is so grieved with his own problem right now. 

Why Amelia? Why her? But now that it is her, Louis should help Harry to get along with her. It's going to be hard for him, seeing them together, but he has to do it, for Harry.

"Harry, do you... Do you want me to be your wingman?"

"No Louis, it's okay... I am not that selfish. I cannot ask my close friend to set me up with his ex. I know that you two have a past together and I wouldn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. This is the reason that I hadn't told you, or anyone."

Wow, Louis did not expect this at all. Harry must've felt so bad that night at the party when Liam told Louis that Amelia was asking about him. And all those times he saw her with Louis. Although it wasn't his fault, Louis still feels guilty about it. 

We missed a very important point... Harry just friend-zoned Louis, how amazing. 

"Louis," Harry says, "I hope that everything is still fine between us... "
