A few hours later, laying on a cloud, Rainbow cast her mind back to the events of the morning. As she continued through this cycle of thoughts, her rage grew and grew, until she could take it no longer. "AAARGH!" She screamed, pummeling the white, wispy cloud beneath her. Why now? Why today? She was a heroine, who had saved Equestria countless times. So why was she so... afraid?
"RAINBOW DASH!"
"Oh, crap..." Rainbow whispered. She knew that voice. "RAINBOW!" Applejack shouted again. Gritting her teeth, Rainbow looked over the edge of the cloud. "Hey AJ."
Applejack looked concerned.
"Um, could ya come down for a spell, sugarcube?"
"Sure." Rainbow's powerful cyan wings thrust open, and sped towards the ground, taking Rainbow Dash with them. As she landed nimbly in front of Applejack, she opened her mouth, ready to declare how she was fine, and didn't need help. "Applejack, I-"
"Shut up."
"Wha-?"
"No. Say nothin'. DO nothin'. I don't wanna hear a thing, because you AREN'T ok."
Applejack started to pace backwards and forwards.
"Rainbow, the five of us are worried about you. We want to talk to you, but we didn't wanna crowd ya. So, we're each gonna talk to you in private, one at a time."
Dash kept a straight face, but inside, she felt like crying. Just knowing that she had such good friends alongside her put a lump in her throat.
"S-so, how does this work out?" asked Rainbow, a smile playing upon her trembling lips.
"Well, let's start with this. Ah do not blame ya for what happened. If it had been me in that situation, ah woulda kicked that piece of shit all the way to Canterlot. However, I am the element of honesty, therefore, it is my duty to tell the truth. And the truth is, he's changed. No, you look at me. I can see that he is genuine. He wants you back, Rainbow. Now, ah'm not saying to forgive him mind you. Hell, even I couldn't do that. All I'm sayin' is to remember that he is still your father, and that he still loves you."
And with that, she turned, and trotted away.
"What in the hay just happened?"
Rainbow asked herself. The others arrived throughout the day, starting with Twilight.
She, of course, brought books.
So, Rainbow spent one tedious hour reading about emotions, and how the brain copes with them. When Twilight finally left, Dash was very, VERY eager to see her go.Next up was Fluttershy. Her methods were the wierdest of all. "It calms ponies down a lot when they're with cute little animals." she explained.
So, Rainbow spent another hour with a bunny on her head. Soothing. Then came Rarity. She obviously brought dresses, or as she so regally put it, comfort wear. This led to Rainbow being tugged around and bombarded with lace and ribbon for what felt like days. Eventually, Rainbow actually had to remind Rarity that Pinkie still wanted to see her.
"Hmm? Oh, of course!" Rarity exclaimed, and trotted away to her boutique. Finally, it was Pinkie's turn. Dash groaned as she yanked the last of the ribbon off. She definitely wasn't up to Pinkie's energetic ways. She was definitely caught off guard then when Pinkie walked slowly, timidly even, around the corner. Rainbow noticed that her mane was not quite as poofy as usual, and that her eyes seemed... dead. As she finally reached Dash, she looked up through somepony else's eyes entirely. This wasn't the Pinkie Dash knew and loved.
"Pinkie, your-"
She was interrupted by Pinkie Pie throwing herself forward, gripping her in a hug. Dash felt Pinkie's body shaking with uncontrollable sobbing.
"Pinkie Pie, what's wrong?!" she pleaded. The usually cheerful pony looked at her with crystal blye eyes, now full of tears.
"D-do you re-remember what I said earlier at Octavia's?" she stammered.
Without giving Rainbow time to answer, she pushed herself to her hooves and continued.
"I said that I couldn't bear to see one of my friends sad. And when I see that BASTARD, and hear about what he has done, I just wanna PUNCH HIS PIECE OF SHIT HEAD OFF!"Rainbow sat, stunned. She had never heard Pinkie use such language, or talk about harming anypony else.
"Pinks, you need to-"
But Pinkie cut her off again.
"I'm going to Fluttershy's."
She growled, and cantered away, leaving Rainbow bewildered in the dust.
"Could today get any wierder?" Rainbow pondered to herself.
"I mean, Pinkie just snapped! She said that she would harm my dad, and then just ran off to fluttershy's. To Fluttershy's..."
Then, something clicked in her brain, and she went cold.
"Oh, my sweet Celestia."
Dash streaked into the sky, and towards the new castle. She barreled through the window, and into Twilight.
"Rainbow, you-"
"Where's my dad?"
"Wha-?"
"WHERE'S MY DAD?!"
Twilight looked confused.
"He went to get fixed up. You hurt him pretty bad you know."
"WHERE?!""Fluttershy's."
