Just as Rainbow Dash attempted to scream, one of the hooves placed itself over her mouth, cutting off all sound. She managed to twist her neck far enough to see the black stallion grinning sadistically into her face dragging her back to the opposite house. He kicked the door open behind him and pulled her into the gloomy interior. After shutting and locking the door, he spoke in a silky whisper.
"Sorry about that. Didn't need you making a scene..."
He gestured for her to follow her up the the stairs, entering the first room on the right. In there was stood-"You just don't bucking quit do you?!"
Rainbow snarled at her gently smiling father."Dash-" He muttered, smile now eradicated from his wizened face.
"This storm is too severe. I can't stay here- yet, I can't show my face in front of anypony else- you know what they think of me. I'll be linched- no- you need to stay here with me."
"Bullshit." Rainbow Dash growled.
"I'm going to the safehouse."
Streak's face contorted to a mask of pure, unadulterated fury.
"YOU WILL DO NOTHING!"
The sudden surge of aggression took Rainbow by surprise and she stumbled.
Blitz continued."I HAVE TRIED AND TRIED WITH YOU! YOU ALWAYS EVADE MY AFFECTIONS! I SWEAR TO YOU RAINBOW DASH, I WILL ALWAYS FOLLOW YOU UNTIL YOU ACCEPT ME! YOU SAW WHAT RESISTANCE DID TO YOUR MOTHER, DIDNT YOU!"
A knife of painful remembrance and fear punctured Dash's chest in a fell swoop of emotion.
Dash backed away, then began to run down the stairs. She yanked the door open and sprinted across the street. She saw the door of the safehouse thrown open by Rubix Whip, who extended a beckoning hoof. As Rainbow Dash reached her, Rubix pulled her in and slammed the door.
"Rubix, it was-"
"I know. Get upstairs NOW."
The pair bolted up the staircase, and lunged to the large window overlooking the whole Street. The houses opposite were shaking furiously from the torrential wind, and bits of the roofs were peeling off and being catapulted into the air. The storm was intensifying at an alarming rate now, rocks being thrown by the gale force torrents of surrounding them. One struck a window of one of the opposite houses, shattering it instantly.
Then, one of the houses toppled.A terrible groaning of timber and foundations accompanied the building as it slowly leaned forward, already coming apart. It seemed to tilt in slow motion, plummeting toward the dirt strewn ground before finally making contact, shattering with an almighty explosion of sound.
Snapped planks and debris flew everywhere, before being thrown in various directions by the storm. It was practically a hurricane now, yet still the safehouse remained firm. Dash felt a morsel of relief. She was going to be fine. She watched out the window for a few more seconds, then decided to turn back. She cancelled this decision however, when a large object caught her peripheral vision, tumbling through the air. She snapped her head back to see whatever it was coming closer, closer- she could almost make it ou- Oh no. Oh please no.
She flinched terribly as Spectrum Streak smacked into the reinforced glass.Blood from his nose spattered the window like paint, his left foreleg was visibly broken, mangled horribly at an impossible angle. A horrific grimace was plastered on his face.
In that split second, his eyes met Dash's, and conveyed the message-
"I will never stop."
All this seemed to go on for minutes to Dash, staring into her deranged father's face, before he was pulled off the glass once more.Rainbow Dash stared in disbelief as Spectrum was forced onto the street below.
Right before another house fell.
Directly on top of him.
3 weeks after the storm...
They hadn't found the body.
The experts suspect that he had been torn apart on impact.
Rainbow wasn't grieving however. She seemed to have placed herself in a deep meditative state.
The cleanup was going smoothly, with almost no major casualties.Almost.
Almost...
