Rainboom.

Chapter 5: Loyalty reborn.

The citizens of Ponyville were shocked to see a gigantic explosion of colour erupting from the newly formed castle. There suprise only grew when they saw Princess Twilight and Rainbow dash soaring ahead of the blast. Rainbow had taken off so fast that she had created a sonic rainboom from standstill.

Up in the air, Rainbow felt as if her wings were going to tear clean off, she was going so fast. Even Twilight, with her larger wings, was struggling to keep up. "Shit, shit, shit!" Dash growled, whereas Twilight remained silent. Rainbow Dash had only given a fleeting explenation, mainly consisting of swear words. All Twi had been able to make out was
"Pinkie... Beat up... My dad... Fluttershy's!"

At last, they reached the small cottage, directly on the edge of the Everfree forest. Dash wasted no time in pounding the door open. Inside, they saw...
Fluttershy talking softly to Spectrum. "What the-" Rainbow Dash began, but then it hit her. They had flown to Fluttershy's so fast that they had outrun Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow shook her head, remembering why she was there.
"Get him out of here!" she ordered an obviously aghast Fluttershy, pointing at an even more bewildered Spectrum.
"Rainbow Dash, are you ok?" Flutters asked softly. "Get him OUT of here! Pinkie's coming! She's gonna kill him!"
This was when Streak spoke up.
"Rainbow," his slightly gravelly voice seemed to float gently into the ears. "Rainbow, if I may, Maybe it's for the best. The last remaining member of my family hates me after all, so maybe it's better if I die..."
He was cut off by Rainbow Dash hitting him in the face. Again.
"Now isn't the time to play the bucking hero!" Rainbow spat.
"Just move your ass!"
She grabbed him by the hoof and pulled him up. Then, all 4 ponies started toward the back door. All of a sudden, a sound stopped them in their tracks. A terrible sound. A sound that, at that moment in time, was scarier than any danger they had previously faced.

Hoofbeats, coming ever closer.

Pinkie had arrived.

"SHIT!" Rainbow screamed, practically catapulting Spectrum into the door. He finally came to his senses, and yanked it open, galloping out into the crisp evening air.
But they were too late.

Pinkie pie, her face livid, ran in with a knife in her hoof. "WHERE ARE YOU, YOU BUCKING PIECE OF SHIT?!" She hollered in her shrill voice, causing Flutter's animals to scatter.
Then, she noticed the open door. She started to run towards it, but was stopped by a small white creature pushing against her hoof, but to no prevail.
"Piss off, Angel." Pinkie spat, and kicked him against the wall. He would not give up, however, and leapt onto Pinkie Pie's face, scratching and biting.
An enraged screech burst from Pinkie's throat, and she ripped Angel off her now scratched and bleeding face. She then proceeded to smack him down on the table.
With a look of disgust on her face, she uttered her last sentence to Angel.
"I always hated you. Now, here's my chance to show it."

And she thrust the knife through Angel's tiny body.

Outside, Rainbow, Twilight and Fluttershy were listening to the commotion indoors. They heard Pinkie's terrifying sentence, the thunk of a knife, and the terrible sound of a rabbit's scream.
"NOOOO! ANGEL!" Fluttershy screamed, tears streaming from her face in a torrent of pain. She lay down on the floor, sobbing and wailing at the loss of her pet. Suddenly, the door creaked slowly open, and there stood Pinkie Pie, twisting a now bloody knife in her hoof. Rainbow and Twilight stood together in front of Spectrum, protecting him. Pinkie started walking slowly towards them twisting the instrument caked in Angel's blood. As she reached them, a
low voice crawled its way out of her throat. "Move, Dash."
Tears welled up in Rainbow's eyes.
"Pinkie, please-"
"Move."
Dash started to sob. "Pinkie, I can't let you kill him!"
Pinkie's eyes went hollow, and Dash braced herself for the worse- but it never came. She looked up and saw Pinkie's eyes full of sadness. She uttered a single word.

"Fine."

And she raised the knife to her chest.
"If I can't kill him, I'll kill my self."
Twilight gasped and Rainbow yelled,
"PINKIE NO!"
"It's your choice Dash. Me or him."
"Please, Pinkie..."
Pinkie's eyes started to fill with tears.
Rainbow tried again.
"Pinkie, I can't let you do this, he's my dad..."
Pinkie looked deeply at Dash.

"I respect your descision."

And she plunged the knife into her chest.
