I knew school by no means would change because we had sat civilized with each other for a couple weeks now. I didn’t expect it; I also didn’t expect to hear Alex and Sabrina were no longer a thing. Because that bitch (his words) had the nerve to try two-timing his ass with Brandon, his ‘bestie’ who has been secretly tapping that (they say that right?). Well, anyways, they are a done thing, and yesterday at the end of the study session, I felt like I should know why he was punishing me for it.

I pulled my dress down. Ever since he said I looked like a little girl, I realized all my clothes were too small. My boobs bulged out the top and it was way too short. Lunch came and I was going to sit at my loner spot. But Alex perched his evil in my space, right next to my usual spot. I was backing out of the cafeteria, when I heard his roar, “Don’t you even think about it!”

I froze, the cafeteria froze. I shuffled towards him. “Bobbette le Blue!” I shrieked. He was sitting in my actual seat. “You are sitting on Bobbette le Blue, with your cooties!” I pointed accusingly halfway in the cafeteria. I raced towards my seat, pushed him roughly off onto the ground scrounging through my bag for my box of baby wipes. I took about half of the box, scrubbed the seat down, sat down lightly and threw the wipes at him. “Here, clean Bobbette le Blue’s awesome off your ass. I won’t allow it there.” The cafeteria was in shock, completely in shock.

He snatched me by the elbow from my food. “My cheese stick…” This brings me to the seagulls, who are my arch nemesis, Ever since the first day of school they've been stealing my food. In fact, stole my whole tin of cookies, group fucking effort. They sat on the school’s front step with my tin of cookies. MINE…

“Steve, you take my cheese stick, I eat your family. You hear me, crackpot! I see you, I will hunt you down." Alex took my hand. I noticed we had stopped, he swirled me around, and holding my face in his hand, he kissed me; in the middle of the cafeteria with every freshman standing around us, he kissed me on the mouth. Somewhere in there my eyes closed, instinctively of course, not because I really enjoyed it because I didn’t. He stopped it abruptly. I almost asked why. Maybe because this was happening extremely fast and no warning. Then I saw Steve on top of Alex's head out of the corner of my eye with my damn cheese stick. I reached for his sticky little legs. He flew like a bullet, and he’s lucky because I was about to have raw seagull stuffed with cheese.

I tried to run around Alex, to get to Steve, but without even looking back he clotheslined me by the waist. Stopping me and my mission. I hate seagulls so fucking much. Steve is a baby seagull, for some reason that makes it worse.

“Why can’t you be serious? About anything. Did I damage you when I pushed you into that damn Ravine?”

I looked at him. “I- I’m sorry.” I hate to see people hurt. So I manned up, sucked in my fear of cooties, and kissed him sort of on his forehead. Then I smacked him, “That’s for letting Steve eat my lunch and for kissing me with untreated cooties, jerk.” I hugged him and left out the cafeteria since now I was lunchless. Why did I do that? I hated this guy. He was a human Steve, stealing my tin of cookies everyday probably for eternity.

I saw him coming out the cafeteria nodding and gesturing funny. Guess he lost his beans. What just happened in there? Steve swooped in the hallway eating my cheese stick then he dropped out of the air. A sickly thud sounded through the hall. I ran to the little sucker, he choked up the cheese stick but his wing wasn’t that kind of fixable. I wrapped the little dude up, and stuffed him gently into my pocket. Two more periods went by, and I wasn’t paying much attention, but the entire buzz was about Alex and I. They stared at me, going down the hallway, in class, in the bathroom, and leaving the school. They were waiting for me on both sides leaving a narrow little alley to push through while they stared. Then they stalked me getting into Alex’s car, walked it to the street and saw it off.
