A Rush of Ninja Wisdom

Selene's POV

We were taking a break, and Ash and I used this opportunity to train. "Litten I Choose You!" I then sent the fire type out. She jumped onto my head. "Hey girl, good to see ya. How about we practice some moves, get ready for the next gym." She nodded her head. I then sent out Epsurr. "Ok guys, let's have a good fair fight." They both nodded their heads. "Ok, Litten use flamethrower and Espurr use Psyshock!" Litten fired a powerful flamethrower, and Espurr's eyes glowed as it sent Psyhock. Both the attacks met head on. "Impressive." I heard a voice call out. I scanned may area and noticed a lump on a tree, I gave Espurr a nod and she used psychic. The tarp fell and revealed a now floating ninja. "Oh sorry, Espurr put him down gently please." She lowered the ninja, I rushed up and bowed. "Sorry, I thought you were a bad guy." The guy just smiled. "Its ok, my name is Sanpei. What's yours?" I smiled and called my partners over. 

"I'm Selene, and these are my partners. Zeraora, Litten and Espurr." Sanpei smiled and a blue Pokémon hopped down. It was a Frogadier. "Wow, a Frogadier, I haven't seen one up close yet." Frogadier was the evolution of Froakie. "We heard some commotion so we decided to check it out." Then I heard Ash and Froakie, not to far away. "Want to meet my friends?" Sanpei and Frogadier nodded their heads. "But, we will sneak up on them, ninja style." I laughed and they jumped back up into the trees. I returned Litten and Espurr, and Zeraora and I returned just in time to see that Ash saw Frogadier. Serena then saw me. "Selene, a mysterious ninja showed up, and disappeared!" I just laughed, and she gave me a confused look. "I know, I encountered him as well, and I see you saw his partner." I then saw Ash point his Poké Dex at Frogadier.

"Frogadier, the Bubble Frog Pokémon and the evolved form of Froakie. Frogadier's speed is unmatched. It can climb a tower over two thousand feet tall in one minute." Wow, that is awesome. "The evolved form of Froakie?" Ash asked, I laughed and walked over to him. "Ok, Sanpei, you can stop playing hide-and-go seek! I want you to meet my friends!" I shouted out, not knowing where he was. Then I saw him next to his partner, and they both jumped down in front of us. "Selene, you know him?" Bonnie asked me, I nodded my head. "Everyone, meet Sanpei. Sanpei saw my Pokémon and myself training so in a way he tested us. Sanpei I want you to meet my friends. The boy in the hat is Ash and his partners, Froakie and Pikachu. The girl with honey-blonde hair is Serene. The boy with glasses is Clemont and that's his sister Bonnie." 

Ash then challenged Sanpei to a battle. "I've been looking for a suitable opponent for my Frogadier to battle against. But I have my doubts that you Froakie is powerful enough." Frogadier agreed, and Ash and Froakie didn't like that one bit. "What?" I then walked up and separated the boys. "Sanpei give them a chance, test Frogadier and Froakies' skills." Sanpei nodded his head. "If Selene says so then I will battle you. Also because I know I couldn't beat Selene, she is one of the strongest trainers in the world." Wow, I guess even a ninja knows my name. I was sitting with Serena and Bonnie, I held Pikachu in my arms and Zeraora sat between me and Serena. Clemont was going to be the referee. "The one-on-one battle between Ash and Sanpei, the young ninja, is about to begin! The battle will be over when one Pokémon is unable to battle. Is that understood?" Clemont asked the boys, and they both agreed.

"Alright then, battle begin!" Clemont swept his hand downward signaling the start of the battle. "You may have the first move, Ash." Sanpei told the raven-haired boy. "I accept. Froakie, use bubble!" Froakie jumped in the air and launched bubbles from its most, but Sanpei ordered Frogadier to dodge it. It jumped all the way into a tree! "So fast, maybe as fast as Zeraora." Serena commented. "You're right, but we have to remember that Frogadier are also great jumpers." I told the girl. "Chase Frogadier and use pound!" Froakie jumped in front of Frodagier ready to strike, but Sanpei told Frogadier to dodge again, and it jumped over Froakie with ease. 'I see now, Sanpei is trying to wear Froakie out with speed.' Ash told Froakie to try again but Frogadier was too fast. "Ash and Froakie have a long way to go, to match that speed." I commented. "Selene, how long did it take for Zeraora to get that fast?" Bonnie asked me.
