In a flash I arrived in a dark quiet house, the only noise I could hear were the ones of the elf's doing their jobs. A complete contrast to king's cross. As my feet hit the ground, I felt my stomate doing cartwheels, I took everything I had not to throw up right there. I can never get used to it.
"Now we don't have time to waste go up and unpack and that, I have already had the elf's pack for NY, just add somethings you may need, your father finishes early today, we will have lunch then tomorrow we will spend the day with your aunt and uncle for diner then we must catch a plane for NY. You will leave your wand here! I do not want any trouble with the M.A.C.U.S.A you here!" my mother said, her voice got more serious as the speech went on.
"Yes, will grandmother meet at the airport?"
"No, we will get a car service to the manor"
The rest of the day I spent in my bedroom double checking my stuff, making sure I wasn't forgetting anything, then checking my plants to make sure they were still alive. I heard a pop from downstairs and the familiar voice of my father. Then soon the call of my mother for dinner. I quickly ran to the mirror to check my appearance, father hates untidiness and made my way.
"Sorry mother I was just finishing things," I say while taking my seat.
"I assume you have packed then?" She spoke.
"Yes, I have made sure everything is there and my wand is in my draw." She nodded in approval
"Good. I do not want any embarrassment on this trip!" he put his fork down and looked up at me "You represent our family, and you must show our values and beliefs on this trip. That reminds me, you will not bring up any of your . . . 'friends' while there, we do not need them knowing you associate with them" he gave me a disgusted look as I felt a pit in my stomach grow, he didn't even know them not once did he ask about them. I was going to say something, tell him how offended I was, I thought it out in my head, and as I was about to say it, just as I opened my mouth, . . . . I chickened out!
"Yes, father" I just wanted to go back to my room.
"May I leave now?" My mother nodded and I left.
I couldn't get much sleep that night, I didn't want to go to Marcus's, yes at first, I was angry, but now I was just hurt. Honestly, I didn't know what I would say to him tomorrow.
Just as I felt sleep take over me a ray of light came shining through my curtains, stopping any hope of sleep. I deiced I should get up and shower. I missed my bathroom, not having to share, it was great. That morning went fast, the usual; get up, shower, eat, get dressed and then follow the routine my parents have created. I deiced to bring the book I was reading on the train with me to my aunts, you never know, and. Wasn't expecting marc to talk to me anyway.
We apparated there and were met by Ursula and Antony ( My aunt and uncle) they went up and greeted my parents and gave me a nod.
"Come inside" they motioned us in
"Ah, there's my granddaughter" I was met with a hug from my grandmother before I could even reply. I hugged her back, I had always been her favourite.
"Artemis your grandfather is in there with marc love, go on they don't bite," she says as I try and go anywhere but there, but unfortunately she had a death grip on my arm and was leading me in.
"you know I can walk myself," I say with a laugh.
"Richard!, look who has finally arrived" she shouted over to them.
I send a warm smile, and slowly walk over to them, marc look at me then down, usually, we would be hugging or doing something, this all just feels so weird.
