We finished eating as the sun started setting. It was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. All I wanted to do was lay there and just be. Chris turned to look at me.

"What?" I asked shyly.

"Nothing you just look so relaxed. I almost don't want to go back to school. But sadly, we need to head back soon or there won't be enough daylight to make it back to the car." He told me sadly.

"Awe ok. Maybe we can come back here some time?" I asked hopefully as we started packing our stuff up. He looked back at me with a look that made me melt

"Of course, we can come back. Any time you want!" As we made our way down the path back to the car, conversation flowed freely between us. It was nice to learn about him without having to look at a stupid file that someone else put together. When we reached the truck there was barely enough light outside to see back up the path.

"Thank you for taking me to your spot. It's nice to know that I have at least one person on my side through this." I spoke softly as we jumped into the truck.

"Listen, Nikolas has been my friend since I started here, but the shit he pulled today was way out of line. I know that you and I know two vastly different versions of the same person. I hope that the sides can eventually reconcile and maybe we get the best of both worlds. I know you will need time to figure it out. Take that time and in the meantime, I will be by your side on your side." He grabbed my hand and started the truck.

"I appreciate it. I wish this night didn't have to end; I've never really been able to do stuff like this. Usually, I'm going on missions to get information. I am glad I took this assignment." We smiled at each other as he made his way out of the parking lot.

Our drive started quiet but then Chris put the radio on and we were driving with the music up and the windows down, screaming the songs. When we arrived back at campus the only light in the sky was provided by the moon. As he put the truck in park, he turned to look at me.

"Ready to face the wolves?" He jokingly asked me.

"You joke now, but I am fully concerned that is exactly what is going to happen." I smirked but jumped out of the truck anyway. As we walked into the building my senses were going a little crazy. I pulled Chris to a stop and looked around. There were more people than there should have been. I started scanning for a threat until I recognized one of the director's agents. "Shit!"

"What's going on? Are we in danger?" Chis asked looking panicked. It was only then that I realized I had my hand on my gun in my purse.

"Sorry. We are fine. Kinda. The director is here." I sighed. I had been hoping to hang out with Chris instead of all this. "I wonder what Nikolas did to warrant a visit." He smirked at me.

"Probably whined to his dad that he was so much more deserving than you." For some reason that made me genuinely laugh.

"Most likely. Now, let's get in there and see what is going on." I let go of his arm and continued to my suite. When we got there, we noticed the 4 men outside. "Agents, I am assuming the director is inside? Are we allowed in?" I asked while pulling my badge out of my bag.

"Yes, he is, and yes you both are." The agent closest to the door stated.

"Agent Carson! Good luck, he is pissed." I looked over to the agent that started talking and realized it was an agent I had trained with.

"Thanks for the heads-up Johnson!" I smiled then walked into the room.

The sight before me made me smirk. Director Doss was standing and pacing while yelling at Nikolas. Nikolas was sitting alone on the couch with 2 men standing behind him. Lyla was nowhere to be seen but her door was shut and there was a woman standing outside it. As I closed the door Director Doss paused.
