I woke up from my nap with a start. It seemed my roommate was home as I could hear people talking outside my door. I groaned and went to reach for my phone, which should have been on my bedside table. It wasn't there. That set me into motion. I threw on my leather jacket over my tank top and grabbed my badge from the hidden compartment. As I was grabbing my badge, I heard male voices too. I decided to grab my gun and holster it just to be safe, seeing as I never go anywhere without it.

I quickly and quietly made my way out of my room and into the living room. The first thing I noticed was there were only 3 people in the living room. 1 girl and 2 guys. The second thing I noticed was their positions to me and to the door. The girl was standing in front of the 2 guys but facing me and away from the door. The couch was between her and me. The guys were sitting on the couch. The blonde one was on the edge while the dark-haired boy was directly in front of the girl. The third thing I noticed was they were all hunched over my phone.

"I don't think we should be doing this" One of the guys, I'm not sure which one stated.

"I wholly agree. Now, give me my phone." I stated calmly making my presence noticed.

"Oh look she is awake. See I told you we shouldn't be doing this!" the boy with sandy blonde hair said as he turned to look at me, looking like he did not want anything to do with what was going on. The boy with dark hair stayed facing forward. The girl looked up from my phone.

"Oh, you look so serious. Lighten up! It's just your phone" She said jokingly while laughing.

"Once you give me my phone back. I will gladly 'lighten up' as you say. I do not appreciate you going through my stuff" I used my threatening voice, the voice I only used for interrogation.

"OoOoh so scary." she mocked me while still going through my phone. My frustration levels were increasing. All I wanted to do was take my phone back by force if I had to.

"Lyla." So the bitches name was Lyla, the dark-haired boy said in a warning tone. "Give the girl back her phone. And try being nice. We shouldn't have it anyway. She is obviously new and we know she just woke up since you decided to snoop in her room while she was sleeping. Add her phone being missing, she is probably pissed. Just give it back." His voice brought back memories, sounding familiar but I could not quite place it. He seemed to be on my side though so at least there is that.

"Yeah. Like she is scared. I doubt she could even take me." The girl, Lyla, scoffed.

"Your right, I'm not scared. I'm pissed. You took my phone, you refuse to give it back to me and you are taunting me acting like you are better than me. You know what, you should be scared because if I do not get my phone back I will take it back." I threatened as I stalked closer to her, resting my hands on the back of the couch.

"Yeah, hoooooookah, like you could do anything to me." Lyla sarcastically spit at me. I pulled out my badge and walked close enough to shove it in her face over the boy's heads.

"Considering I can arrest you for stealing federal property, you really should be scared." I said holding my badge out and resting my hand on my holster for my gun. I didn't think she was a real threat, I was just trying to intimidate her. While this was happening my brain was still trying to figure out who the dark-haired boy with the familiar voice was. Lyla looked at me like I was crazy

"What? Where did you get a fake like that? No way that's real." She laughed but still looked a little wary. Then, all of a sudden she smirked. "I doubt it's real but, if it is, where is your gun? I don't think you can have that on school property."

Well, if that's the way she wanted to play then fine. I moved my jacket to show my holster. "It's right here, and if I'm not allowed to have it, then why do I have federal permission to carry a gun? " I pulled my holster off my shorts. I wasn't really planning on using it. I was just having a little fun now.

"WHY DO YOU HAVE A GUN?" She yelled as if she didn't just ask to see my gun. I rolled my eyes at her. Now it was just getting ridiculous. I just wanted my phone back.

"Did you not just see my badge? Also, you asked to see my gun. Do you believe me now?" I spoke like I was talking to a 4-year-old. "I am a federal agent. Now, hand over the phone." I held out my hand for her to pass my phone to me.

"Let's see those credentials first. I don't think they are real" The vaguely familiar dark-haired boy said. It felt like there was a wall in my mind preventing me from knowing who he was. It didn't help that he refused to look in my direction.

"Fine, your wish is my command. I don't know how you can tell if it is a fake though." I sarcastically said, bowing slightly in the process. This guy was starting to get on my nerves. Even still it felt familiar, almost family-like. My confusion grew.

"I have my sources. Trust me I know. And anyway I doubt you are anything more than a wannabe cop. You probably don't even know how to shoot a gun." the dark-haired boy said, still staring at my phone. I decided to throw my badge at the blonde-haired boy. Refusing to throw it to the dark-haired boy just to be petty, especially since he seems set on proving me wrong without looking at me. The blonde boy caught my badge mid-air.

He quickly opened my badge and ran his fingers over it. "I don't know dude she seems legit. Take a look." The blonde-haired boy tried to pass my badge to the dark-haired boy. Lyla seemed to have other plans. She snatched my badge out of his hands and decided to read the whole thing out to the room

"Dude, I doubt it's real." Dark Hair said as Lyla started reading.

"Federal Bureau of Investigations, Special Operations Youth program? What the hell is a youth program? Seems fake." Lyla snarked. The dark-haired boy froze, looked up at Lyla, and snatched my badge out of her hand.

"No fucking way. Athena Carson, FBI." Dark Hair stood up still looking at my badge. He grabbed my phone from Lyla and turned to look at me for the first time. "You are a long way from D.C Atty."
