Hey.

Get up.

Jason's eyes snap open. Before he was able to take a look around, his entire body started to shake as his name blasts his ears.

"Jason?!" Setsuko would be shaking him as she stands next to his bed, tears flowing out of her eyes. "A-Are you okay?" Her shaking stopped, but her tears wouldn't.

He groans and looks over at her face, noticing her drenched face. "What happened?"

"You just passed out. I was so scared. I thought..." Her words were almost inaudible to hear from the constant sniffing. Watching her just killed his heart.

Jason places his hand onto her cheek, catching her by surprise. Her torn face changed from depressed to calm.

He instantly notices the change of his hand. A demon's claw. His human hand would show but his fingertips are longer and his fingernails are sharper. Purple veins would seek out of his hand, more recognizable than usual.

It was a disgusting sight to him.

"My claw- that's..." He would move his hand away, but Setsuko would place his hand back onto her cheek. She happily accepts his hand by putting her hand over his.

"This happened. From Jason's understanding, You are on the border of becoming a demon and a human," she said with her eyes closed, embracing the feeling of Jason's hand.

"Also," she opens her eyes. "I learned about the demon body from Jacob. Including intercourses."

Oi-

"Wait, what?" Jason was speechless. "Why did you-"

"I don't mind, you know?" She lowers his hand with her hands. "I don't know what is wrong with me. I only know you for less than a year but it feels like I understand you so much. That isn't normal, is it?" She chuckles.

"Uh- now- wait, are you suggesting-"

"I am, yeah. It's pretty dumb, right? Soon you'll be entering the battlefield as a soldier with Jacob and Oracle. I'm only here with Alexandra, waiting for your return. But I'm scared to lose you,"

"I'm immortal, dummy. I won't die," he said confidently. However, his words would only give her a smile. A sad smile.

"Yeah, but you are fighting against other demons. I have lost so many people before and half of them, I didn't even care. Whether it is from affairs, friends, death, different paths..." Her grip grew tighter.

"But if it is you, I care. So much that I wouldn't be able to live without you. So..." She would stand up and lean close to him, looking into his eyes. "Can we? Before you go."

Rather, Jason was feeling uneasy. Is it because of how sad she is? If anything, he didn't want their goodbye to end like this.

"Listen. I'll come back alive. I'm no fool to just kill myself. Especially when you're here," he smiles, responding her tighten grip by locking fingers with her, fingernails retracted.

"If anything, come save me. Alright?"

She giggles and wipes her eyes. "You're making this sound as if you need me!"

"Well, yeah," and he leaned forward, kissing her lips.

The helicopter was loud. Doors were open as soldiers would sit on the edge with their legs dangling. Some soldiers would be sitting down on the built-in chairs that were made out of metal and fabric while others would be standing with their hands clutching onto grips that were on the ceiling. Jason would one of them.
