CHAPTER-9

I have been waiting for this day, my flight is at 7pm. I'm spending time with my friends. They came in the morning, in fact they are the ones who wake me up. We had breakfast after that we played for some time. In the afternoon, we went to eat chat items at our favourite place Vishwa, Joe annas also joined us. We ordered pav bhaji, bhel puri, vada pav, papri chaat, pani puri, samosa, aloo tikki chana etc.

We had so much fun, eating your favourite chaat itself is bliss but eating with your friends and having fun at the same time is another level of bliss. We reached home together, of course without boys because still our parents don’t know anything.

Everyone at home was busy, it was like they were the ones who were leaving for England. My bag was fully packed by Mom and shishi and I’m grateful for that. Dad took care of the tickets, all I hoped for was two things, first one I want a window seat and second thing is smooth flight because I have motion sickness and it really sucks!

My friends left earlier with lots of hugs and advices. We are heading to the airport and Mom was lecturing for the whole ride, do’s and don’t s, I know how to keep her quite, me and shishi hugged from both sides and shouted I love you mom!

Grandma- “ hey wait let me off this tab and watch live performance”. Grannnny we both shouted in unison.

That’s it for the rest of the ride to airport, we continued our banters.
Only few minutes, after that I’ll be starting my new life. I checked in and it’s time to board the plane. It was such an emotional moment for me and Dad.

zaha- Dad… I’ll call you after reaching. Words are not coming out of my mouth.

Dad- He hugged me and patted my head and said “ I know you will make us proud, take care. Be yourself” that’s enough for me.

Mom- she pulled me towards her stay healthy and talk to us whenever you’re free. I’m going to miss this warm embrace.

Shivani- Don’t enjoy too much without me. She gave me a bone crushing hug.

Maha Lakshmi- she hugged me and whispered slowly “this phase of your life will be a life challenging and life changing one, and I know my little girl will give her best”.

It’s time for me to leave, we are in the waiting area, they are trying very hard not to break down. So I just quickly bid my bye and made my way to the escalator.

I stepped on escalator, turned towards them and shouted waving my hands “ Time to take off……. Shine on my crazy diamonds….. tataaaaaaaaa”! shishi was the one who decided to come out of shock and shouted back crazily like me and soon one by one did the same, in fact everyone did this. I did this till I get out of their sight, and waiting area turned out to be party area.

I dozed off after sometime of take off , I woke up only to see a beautiful site of sun rising, I completely turned to my left side and unknowingly my face is too close to window , I heard  throat clearing sound, a pretty air hostess is standing there, asked me whether I want extra pillows, I gave confused look, It seems like you are sitting in a uncomfortable way like you completely turned your head towards window so I asked you, she said.

No… no umm I was just admiring the view….uhhhh embarrassing. She gave me a smile and went to her place.

Again I’m tired so I just slept as if I did not sleep a few hours ago. I woke up to an announcement as we were going to land, I hastily put on my seat belt and took deep breaths to calm myself, this is the part where I fear most. Landing part always makes me sick. I held my thighs tighter and bent my head, shut my eyes tightly, and finally we landed safely, all thanks to the handsome pilot.

I collected my bags and waited for Maddie to come and fetch me. I saw him in the distance, I ran and hugged him. He patted my head. It’s been a long time since we met. We made our way to his audi.

He’s driving and I was telling him how I convinced Mom & Dad, and how I spend my time with friends. It is a one hour trip from the airport to home but I’m hungry now so I asked him to stop at some café.
