CHAPTER-23

Morning light found its way into Zaha's room. She could feel the sun rays on her face. She drew her quilt over her head and went back to sleep.
Her quilt was taken away from her, and she was embraced by her friend Zigmund.

“You rascal! Please do not bother me. Get out”. I yelled at him and attempted to steal my quilt.

“Look at this with your sleepy eyes.” He said this while bringing his phone dangerously close to my face. I grabbed it, rubbed my eyes, and began watching the video. I tinkered with him to make sure I was just not hallucinating.

I just jumped out of bed and dragged him along with me. Sakshi was preparing breakfast for us as usual. I'm going to Ingrid's place.

I hear her yell about clothes and try not to leave, but I have to go there. I don't think I'll be able to keep it to myself until I meet her on campus.
He dashed into his house to retrieve his bike keys. We both got on his bike, and I re-watched the video and read all of the comments until we arrived at her house. Whoever did this deserves to live a long life. Security knows who I am, so there will be no checking procedures for me.Zigmund and I went in together.

Katherine's aunty greeted us. “Hello, Zaha! What a surprise!” She was perplexed to see me here at this hour.

“Aunty, good morning. This is Zigmund, my friend. I have a surprise for all of you, but I want to show it to Ingrid first”. I said as I dragged him upstairs with me. I went into her room, but it was deserted. She must be working out in her home gym at this time.

We both went to the floor's corridor. When I opened the door, I saw her on the treadmill. I went inside, but then I noticed Devyn lifting weights and flexing his biceps whenever he moved his arms up and down.

“You're staring at him, Zaha”. Zigmund murmured in my ear. I ignored him and walked over to Ingrid. When she saw me, she did a double take. She came to a halt.

“You're both here, Zaha and Zigmund! At this precise moment!” She used a towel to wipe away her sweat.

“Because I couldn't keep myself together. You should watch this video”, I said solemnly.
With a straight face, Devyn asked, "What video?"
“Are you here as well? Come and take a look.” I pretended as if I hadn't noticed him until now.

I handed over his phone to them. They concentrated on the screen. Their facial expressions changed from surprise to shock as they watched the video together. Devyn hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. He didn't say anything, but his actions demonstrate how content he is.

“See! Ingrid, how many views and likes you got? She began to jump on her place. She jumped on me and hugged me. As usual, she jumped on me and hugged me, and Zigmund joined us.

“Vibing to the beat with an angel?” She asked, her brow furrowed.

“You forgot about that flirty a$$. It's his  account. I still can't believe he did it. In any case, it is beneficial to us.” It was the video of Ingrid singing from a club. This received over a million views and likes. The video includes Ingrid's singing and a girl and boy dancing to the music, but their faces are obscured.

“Nice Mickey pyjamas”. She said this while winking at me. Now, I'm embarrassed I didn't hear Sakshi's words.

“Do I look bad?” I inquired, looking down at my pyjamas.

“Obviously not. I'm going to show it to my parents.” She showed it to every member of her family. We're all waiting for Katherine aunty's special cupcakes right now. Zigmund was the one who was most eager to try them.

“I smell something delectable in this room.” I noticed Jacob enter with a dog. Ingrid greeted him, and we all exchanged greetings. They were talking while she showed him the video. However, the dog next to him suddenly ran towards me, barking. I jumped off the sofa and ran wherever my legs would take me.

It was barking and running behind me. I dashed forward and collided with something hard. My nose is in excruciating pain.

It wasn't something, but I happened to run into DEVYN!

I quickly crept behind his back and hid. He tried to turn back, but he was told, "Don't turn, save me from the creature." I stated.

“Sit down!, puppy. Sit down.” That PUPPY was ordered by him. I peered over his shoulder and noticed the PUPPY sitting like a good dog.

Devyn gently drew me up to his front. Only now did I notice all of them standing here. How humiliating it is! I'm not afraid of dogs, but when it came charging at me, I was afraid it'd bite me.

“Oh no, your nose!” Aunty exclaimed, concernedly. When I touched my nose, I noticed blood.
