Dream felt groggy, his mind muffled. He tried forcing himself to wake up.

The last thing he fully remembers was the SMP standing around him, surrounding him before blank. He felt the hand creep around his shoulder and darkness succumb him.

He slowly opened his eyes, immediately recognizing the place.

Dream hated this place, it was where he would go when Nightmare would take control. He could hear his friends and he could feel the things they did to him.

Nightmare felt nothing though. No emotion, no pain. It all went to Dream. He felt all the emotions, all the pain.

But he couldn't say anything, he was stuck here, and even if he got enough control to tell them, they wouldn't believe him. And Nightmare would have done bad things to him.

He gave up on them after awhile, realizing not even his closest friends could see what was going on inside his brain. Yet, he still had the sliver of hope, that they would come back for him. Come apologize maybe.

Quackity made it clear he was the monster of the server. Coming in everyday just to torture him, to put it into his brain, brand it in there.

All Dream wanted was a family, a perfect loving family. He had been no older than 16 when it all started, he barely remembered his age anymore.

All of them saying it wasn't right for an adult man to treat a child like that. When in all honesty, he was a child himself.

He never admitted that, only wearing a mask to hide his true identity.

He often thought back onto all of his fond memories while in the prison. That was all he thought about when Quackity came, or when he was alone.

All Dream had wanted was a normal childhood.

He changed his thinking when his family was killed in front of him.

He still tried to live a normal childhood, and when he found George and Sapnap, he didn't want them to leave or baby him, so he lied. Lied about everything about him

He saw happiness when Tommy was around. He didn't want to ruin the boys life, but Nightmare got jealous as he had been with Dream ever since he was a young child. He watched Dream slowly lose happiness, so he thought lets take someone else's happiness and maybe it will make us happier.

Oh how wrong he was. He realized he put Dream into a pit of just more sorrow and pain and suffering. Not knowing what to do he left him there, keeping control for awhile. He knew Dream wouldn't even be the same with what he did.

Dream rarely listened in anymore after that, just welting in his sorrows. Just wanting to be saved from this place.

He almost gave up a couple times, just wanting to rest for a bit.

But he just couldn't, all he could think about was George and Sapnap bickering and him laughing. Bad helping him through the hard stuff that hit him like a train wreck. Tommy running around the server cursing, with Tubbo not far behind him. Him and Technoblade's duels. Wilbur trying to go on dates with him. Fundy proposing to him. Puffy calling him her little duckling as he followed her around the server, the only actual mother figure in his life as he couldn't remember his real one...

He thought about everyone on the server really, trying to keep hold of the important ones. Not wanting to let them go.

It was hard knowing everyone hated him, even harder not knowing what he really did. Sometimes he was told random things he did, but he could never visualize it actually happening.

He just wanted Puffy to hold him close, while he told her all his problems. Maybe Bad there to hug him threw everything as he sobbed. George and Sapnap sitting down with him, forcing him to tell them his problems.

The more he was in this place the more the bad memories came he realized, as he got memories of wars and fights that he doesn't remember.

He remembers one fight between him George and Sapnap. Fighting about whether Dream actually cared them or not. Nightmare left him this one just for a quick laugh.

He wanted to wake up, to just scream and yell at everyone around him.

He hears whispers saying he shouldn't have trusted them. Trust brought him down..

He heard his name being called in the back of his mind. He couldn't trust the soft voice.

The more they talked the more he recognized the voice as George trying to lure him out of the darkness.

He knew he shouldn't trust them, but the voice sounded so nice just how he remembers the few moments he actually heard him.

The darkness start to become lighter in color.

He doesn't want to wake up, but at the same time he does, just to show them he is okay.

His eyes slowly open, his eye lids so heavy for him, and his eye lashes seemed glued together.

He felt someone slowly stroke his cheek, whispering and shushing quietly.

They saw his lashes fluttering open slowly. They saw the dull green eyes, that were supposed to be bright and full of life, instead they looked dead.

The thing he was laying on was to soft for his liking, it seemed so fake. Like it would be taken away any second.

"Hey, Dream.." George whispered, still softly stroking his cheek. He looked around George seeing some of the other members.

He tried to get up, realizing he had a weakness potion.

"We couldn't be to careful." Sam said."George move."

George slowly stood up and watched Sam walk over to him, Dream still looked barely conscious.

"Dream, explain now." Sam demanded.

He could barely move and his mind was still flooded with thoughts, yet Sam expected him to tell his whole life story.

He felt something be brought up to his lips and he was forced to drink it, soon realizing it was milk. He felt somewhat better.

He tried moving around and his arms finally worked so he sat up carefully on his elbows.

"Sorry, now explain." Sam said.

"Explain what?" Dream's raspy voice barely audible.

"Explain what! EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED OUT THERE." Sapnap screamed, Dream winced at the sudden outburst.

" His name is Nightmare, he is a dreamon." Dream said. " He has been with me for almost my whole life."

They looked around at each other.

"What did it mean by you were a child, just like me?" Tommy asked.

Dream knew he couldn't keep this a secret anymore.

"I don't think that needs explaining, I lied a bit, wore a mask, and got away with lying about my age." Dream said.

"How old are you?" Tommy asked.

"I'm 16.."

He was the youngest person the server. They all looked so guilty.

"Why didn't you tell us.?" George asked.

"Couldn't risk the only family I had left leaving me.." Dream admitted.

He did all of this to make his family closer to each other. Giving them one thing to fight about...
