Axl was late again. But it wasn't because he was busy caring for me. It was because he was busy making out with me. Every time I said we should go inside he would just continue to hungrily kiss me. It felt good. So I couldn't complain and I certainly wouldn't tell him to stop. But the band didn't seem too upset. After all, they had nothing else to do that day.

And there was a song. A beautiful song.

Talk to me softly.
There's something in your eyes.
Don't hang your head in sorrow.
And please don't cry.

"I love the song you wrote, Don't Cry," I said as we drove back home. Axl smiled and blushed. "I... I wrote it whenever I left. It's about you," Axl said. "I love you, Axl," I said. Axl looked at me with bright emerald eyes he pulled over to the side of the road. "I love you too, Dee," he said. We smiled at each other for a minute before a car came in hard impact with my side I passed out instantly.

*AXL'S POV!*

I screamed when the car crashed into Diana. I jumped out of the car and ran to the other side pulling my sweet girl out of the car. "D-D-Diana?" I asked cradling her in my arms. Blood getting everywhere. There was a gash on the side of her face and glass all in her arms. Her breathing was shallow. "Diana, please, wake up. I need you. I-I can't live without you!" I cried.

The ambulances came and took Diana away from me. I wasn't that far from home so I just ran. I quickly got changed into something that wasn't covered in blood and ran to the phone and called Slash.

"Slash, I need you to drove me to the hospital!"
"What is everything okay?"
"No, we got in a car accident and the car ran into Diana's side. I-I need you to drive me to the hospital so I can be with her."
"Alright, I'm on my way!"

I paced back and forth my heart pounded and tears pouring from my eyes. I heard a car beep outside and I raced out and jumped into the passenger seat. "Calm down, she'll be fine," Slash said reassuringly.

But I couldn't listen to him. Just the thought of losing Diana broke me from the inside out. I couldn't live without her. She was my best friend since first grade. I lost her for eight years and I'm not losing her again.

It was about eight o'clock when we arrived at the hospital that that an hour away. I flew out of the car and ran to the desk. "I... I n-need to see Diana Lake," I said shakily. "Room 34," the nurse said. I ran to room 34 and busted through the door and saw my Diana laying on the bed. Her head was bandaged and so was her arm. Diana turned to look at me. "Axl!" she beamed smiled. I ran to the bed and enveloped her in a hug. "I was so worried," I said. "I love you," Diana said. "Dee, I don't know what I'd do without you," I said nuzzling into her neck as I began to cry. "Baby, don't cry," Diana said raking her hand through my hair. "I can't lose you," I cried. "You aren't going to," Diana said.

I just cried and hugged her until I fell asleep.

I can't imagine not being able to hold her again.

I'll protect her with my life.
