My Little Elf

The last thing I remember was taking the train on my way to school and then boom! I blacked out and woke up here. Where is here exactly? Around me I see a giant forest filled with different trees, many animals, beautiful grass, and in front of me there is a cave entrance. None of the animals approach the cave. It seems everything in the forest is avoids it. Behind me I see a small lake and go to it. I look in the water and see someone unfamiliar. My ears are really long, I have blond hair, and I just realized I am naked.

Oh no is this what I heard about. The new trend that my friends keep recommending me to read. An isekai?! Did I really get teleported into another world? While others may be scared, not me. I am excited to be here. My old life was filled with boring days and strict parents. Nathan you have to get all A's to get into medical school and other pointless stuff. I'm only 13 and my parents already deciding my life. I used to go hunting with my dad and he also taught me camping skills, so I guess my life wasn't as boring as others. Well now in this world I am free.

Wait if this is another world, then maybe there is magic. Let me try it out.

Fireball!

Fireball!

Fireball!

Well that didn't  work. What should I do now? Oh yeah I need some clothes. I don't see any stores around. You cruel god why would you reincarnate me in another world without any clothes! As I said this a pair of clothes fell from the sky. At least they listen to me. I put on shorts, a green t shirt, some underwear, and yellow shoes. So I don't have fire magic and I look like an elf. Maybe wind magic. Let's try it.

Air cutter!

A gust of wind came from hands and sliced a small part of the tree in front of me. So that confirms it. I do have wind magic but it is really weak. That means I am weak. I'm getting hungry. Let me hunt some animals and make myself a meal. After a couple of minutes I made rabbit stewed with vegetables.

I could hang out in the forest but I want to get stronger. I need to venture into the cave. I decided to sleep for one day before venturing into the cave. When I woke up a small monster looking dog was near me. It seemed like it was starving so I gave it some of the leftovers I had from the night before. The monster dog ate it and wouldn't leave my side. I decided to bring the dog to the cave with me. I made a bow out of the wood from the trees and a wooden dagger as well. I was weird kid growing up so I always would search on how to make things. Now to the cave we go.

Once I and my monster dog entered the cave behind us the entrance was sealed. I knew something was up with this cave. The first thing I noticed about the cave was how dark it was. Barely any light was in it. If it wasn't for the many crystals that radiated light I would be screwed in here. In front of me there were slimes. I heard about these monsters. The weakest monsters in a cave. I decided to take them out with the help of my monster dog which I decided to name Saber. After destroying the many slimes around me I ate some dried meat I brought with me and gave some to Saber. I looked at Saber and wondered if he could evolve like those games I just to play when I had to catch different animals. Now that I think about it I do miss my parents a little. Especially my mom. I hug Saber tight and then decide to take a nap next to a rock. Once I close my eyes and go to sleep in the middle of my sleep I hear a loud roar, which startles me and I wake up. Saber is on guard. I looked around me and see nothing. I then hear loud footsteps making their way towards me and I see a giant tiger monster with spikes all over its body. Woah! a purple tiger. I never thought I would see the day. I run as fast as I can as I noticed I can't take on something that massive. It looked to be eight feet tall on all fours. I grabbed Saber and used my wind magic to push me forward faster. I seemed to have gotten stronger because the force of my wind launched me all the way to another section of the cave. My heart is beating fast as I almost died in that situation. I left my dagger back there, but luckily I strapped my bow to my back.

I looked at Saber and started smiling. We survived! We survived! In this new area I noticed that there were fruits around me and some small trees. I wonder if these fruits were poisonous. I decided to work on my stamina by running back and forth. I noticed after an hour of doing this it became even easier. I guess there are levels in this world or something. If that is the case, then maybe I can work on my wind magic as well. After some grueling hours my magic became stronger as well. I tested my wind slash on one of the trees nearby and it took it down. I tried a bit of the fruit and it turns out it wasn't poisonous. If it was it would be the end of me.

There was no way I still could defeat that tiger monster. Power is not everything when it comes to battle. I need to think of a strategy to defeat it. After some minutes I thought of the perfect plan. I would build a shovel from some of the trees here and dig a huge hole from the route I came from. I would then filled the hole with wooden spikes from the wood as well. Afterwards I will get the tiger to chase me again and with my wind I will float over the ditch I make. This is the perfect plan.

I started digging my ditch and after some hours of grueling work my ditch was completed. I left Saber back in the area I was in and then I screamed at the top of my lungs. Hey you stupid tiger come and get me now!! The tiger came rushing at me again and I ran as fast as I could. It even started throwing acid at me. What the heck! A poison tiger! When I got to the ditch I floated over it with my wind. I had the ditch covered up so the tiger didn't notice it. It fell down and got pierced by the wooden spikes. It could not move and that is when my barrage of wind slashes started. After killing the tiger I took some of its hide. I made a small blade out of the rocks nearby. I made some clothing to honor the tiger's life. I decided to slash the tiger's stomach and out of it fell a green ring. I picked it up and put it on. I wonder if this ring gives me a power boost. I tried my wind magic again and it was even more powerful. I tried it again without the ring and it was not as powerful as before, but more powerful than when I used it against the purple tiger. I guess I am becoming stronger. If I were to put an estimate on how much the ring boosts my power I would say at least 2X. I smiled at my victory. I decided to leave the tiger's remains there and not eat it because I could die from the poison. I buried the tiger and went to where Saber was.

I wonder how much time has passed since I entered this cave Saber. Let's grow up big and strong so we can take on any challenge.
