Zander: So it was you that destroyed my son's golden armor. You must be strong to do such a thing. What do they call you?
Nathan: My name is Nathan sir.
Zander: Why did you destroy my son's armor?
I explained the situation to Zander.
Zander: Wahaha! You're quite strong. Sorry about my son he is a bit spoiled. I do, however, want to test your powers. How about we step outside.
Ajagara: I don't think this is a good idea Nathan. Zander is the right hand to the king.
Nathan: A warrior must not back down from a challenge.
Zander: I like your spirit kid. Let's start. You can even use those rings of yours. Only the strong have those. On my mark. Start!
I charged Zander and the next thing I know I blacked out and woke up in Ajagara's arm.
Ajagara: I like a good battle but even I know when not to challenge someone. Zander is just too strong for us right now.
Nathan: I feel like complete crap.
Garrison: Here you go. Catch!
Nathan: Thanks for the potion Garrison.
Zander: You lasted a couple of seconds against me. I am impressed young man. I hope my son can become like you in the future. A warrior that can be depended on. However, I must request for the return of the red ring. It belongs to his majesty. It was stolen from the castle.
Nathan: I need to get stronger on my own. Before I give you the ring back tell his majesty that one day I will come to challenge him for the ring.
Zander: Haha! I don't know if it is guts or stupidity, but you sure are a thrill.
Garrison: Zander is such a tall man. Sometimes you wouldn't even guess he was human. His physique is also impressive.
Nathan: Did you see how I got knocked out?
Lyra: Zander has one of the rarest type of magic. He has time magic. He stopped the flow of time within you alone Nathan and then knocked you out with a neck chop. His power is truly scary if he were to one day use it for evil.
Zander: Don't make me sound so scary. My power only exists to protect the king. Now I must go. Let's go home Tyrese.
Tyrese: Coming father.
Ajagara: Let's rest for the night and go to the Sacred labyrinth tomorrow morning.
Nathan: That is a good idea. Go in the guild ahead of me. I will be right back.
That night I did not get any sleep at all. I felt powerless against Zander, but that was not what was eating at me. I felt I was just too weak in general. Garrison lost his arm because I was not strong enough. I want to be strong enough that not even a dragon would be of a challenge to me. It's not about being powerful, I just want the power to protect my friends. I went to the south and defeated all the monsters guarding the entrance to the labyrinth. I then just started using my wind magic until on the brink of exhaustion. Doing this helped me control it better. My magic even got more powerful. Some of the magic attacks I have now can be called spells. My air cutter or air slash and my wind tornado are strong enough to be classified as such. I go back to the guild and get some rest.
Ajagara: Alright wake up everyone. It is time to go to the Sacred labyrinth.
Garrison: Ah what time is it?
Ajagara: 5am we have to go to the entrance now before more monsters come out of the cave.
Nathan: We don't have to worry about that. I took care of the monsters yesterday night. Before we set out let me buy this dimensional storage case. So how much would this be guild guide Lily?
Lily: This will be 20,000 grenf.
Nathan: A bit pricey but I will take it.
Garrison: Why did you buy that for?
Nathan: To store my rings in it. I can't always rely on them. When I feel like I really need them, then I will put them on.
Lyra: Is that such a smart idea? Isn't it better to always have the tactical advantage?
Nathan: That is true but I believe this is for the best now.
Garrison: Can't we just teleport to the labyrinth?
Ajagara: Those are too expensive to use all the time so we walk to the entrance instead.
Nathan: Let's head out then. Here Lyra I bought you something as well.
Lyra: Wow! a water staff. Thank you.
Nathan: I know you could have probably bought it and all being S rank but I wanted to get you a gift regardless.
Lyra: I appreciate it.
Emica: Before you all leave these are your ranks for your feat of defeating the Ice Dragon. The ranking system is as followed:
The F rank is for starting adventurers. F rank adventurers can take on quests like guarding royalty or guarding the city gates.
The D rank allows adventurers to bring materials from the Sacred labyrinth from levels 1 to 3.
The C rank allows adventurers to take quests in levels 4-8 of the Sacred labyrinth.
The B rank allows adventurers to take quests in levels 9-15 of the Sacred labyrinth.
The A rank allows adventurers to take quests in levels 16-25 of the Sacred labyrinth.
The S rank allow adventurers to take quests in levels 26-40 of the Sacred labyrinth.
Garrison: Wow that is a lot of information so what are our ranks?
Emica: Since you defeated the ice dragon as a party your ranks will go up by 2. Nathan and Garrison you are now ranked C. Ajagara because you already were registered with a guild and completed 20 levels of the Sacred labyrinth your rank is now S. Lyra your rank is still S rank. To achieve a rank higher than this many feats must be accomplished. Another thing to note is just because an adventurer is ranked the same or a higher level than another does not mean they are as strong or weaker than another adventurer. Some adventurers refuse to rank up so they don't have to take on more responsibility.
Ajagara: We finally made it to the entrance. Let's go in.
