Into The Third Level

Garrison told me how his group in his adventure party were killed by the goblins. In his party there was healing mage, a swordsman, a defender, and Garrison who worked on offense and defense. Garrison's party got caught in a pincer attack. The goblins are not smart creatures but their leader gave them commands. Fear overtook his body as he saw his companions killed around him. That is how the goblins captured him. There are nights when Garrison screams in pain from the nightmares and I would have to calm him down. I also have nightmares of my own when the goblin leader almost killed me. If I died in this world, would I be reincarnated again or will that be the end of me? I was scared to face the leader of the goblins I admit, but I did it anyway because I wanted to save those people. Something interesting I learned from Garrison was that the people of this world could become adventurers when they are 12 years old. Garrison is 14 years old by the way. He also tells me the cave we are in is called the Sacred Labyrinth. This is a cave created by the gods for those that wanted fame and glory. The deeper we venture into the cave the more dangerous the monsters. Not only that there are teleportation crystals in the cave, which will teleport you back outside. The catch is that you have to find them. It is hard to do this without a seeker ability that allows someone to analyze terrains. From the things looted Garrison's map he bought on the outside of some of the inside of the cave would come in handy. It only went to the third level. Maps with more detailed on the other levels were rare as many adventurers wanted glory for themselves. Garrison is tall, with short green hair, green eyes, and with scars all across his body from the abuse of the goblins. Garrison is a good guy overall. He has the magic skill growth which allows him to grow inorganic things massive in size. This is a really good ability because it also works on food. Maybe I can make him grow my katana massive. No that wouldn't be a good idea. Who would be strong enough to carry a big hunk of metal. Sometimes Garrison has me laughing all day with the things he does. One time he put two pieces of fruit between his teeth and pretended to be a walrus. Saber also gets along with him. One important thing I will not forget is what Garrison told me. He said that in the Sacred Labyrinth time flows different. One week in the cave is only one hour on the outside. We can have an entire adventure in here and only mere hours would pass on the outside. He also told me about the other rings I got. The green ring I have is called the magic ring which boosts magical power. The red and blue ring I got do different things. The red ring increased my life force and named the life ring. The blue ring increases my base stats like stamina and strength. With all three rings now when I throw a rock on a wall it destroys the wall. Sometimes my power with the rings scare me. Garrison also tells me that to learn spells I would either have to buy magic books or find scrolls. The thing with scrolls is that if you don't have an affinity for that magic, then it's worthless to you. The scrolls, however, can be sold at a great price. I did not care about money though since I had so much gold even after sharing with the other adventures. I also had some rubies, diamonds, and more rare gems. Garrison also told me that my race lives peaceful in forests that humans can't enter. So that explains why so many of the humans were surprised to see me. An elf in a cave. That's like a shark in the jungle. Can you imagine that? A shark swimming through the jungle. Maybe I can ride a shark as a boat in the future. Muaha! with all that studying I did back when I was human all this new information just flows in.

Me and Garrison spend some time in the goblin territory. We burned the bodies of the dead goblins and also the bodies of the many victims of their brutality. I was disturbed by all the carnage the goblins had done. Head on spikes and many more things I rather not describe. Sometimes I have panic attacks. I was just a regular teenager, studying, and going to be a doctor like my parents wanted. Look at me now. I'm someone that took the lives of living things.

Garrison: Hey Nathan you seem a little different from the elves I read in the history books. The elves from those books are peaceful in nature and don't hunt monsters or hang out in caves. I guess every race has an odd one out of the bunch.
