Once me and everyone else entered the entrance I was surprised to see us back to the start of the labyrinth where the slimes were. I guess everyone does start at the same time. The slime had came back but when we went to the second level there were no goblins. Ajagara explained that sometimes it took longer for some monsters to come back to the labyrinth. Especially stronger foes. This would be good for starting adventurers because they wouldn't have to fight them.
Ajagara: I think it would be too easy if I went with you all to all the levels so instead you can meet me in level 20. Come with me Lyra. Can't make things too easy for the boys.
Garrison: Wow look at them go. They are so fast.
Nathan: We can't get left behind let's go.
Garrison: We breezed through those levels. Good thing there weren't any monsters left there. Now we are in the entrance to the fifth level. I feel a cold wind.
Nathan: Now that you mention it I do too.
Garrison: Look Nathan it's snow. Haha! I only heard about this when I was a kid. I come from a tropical environment so it never snows. I always wanted to make one of these.
Nathan: Hey you just hit me with a snowball. Time for some pay back.
Garrison: Don't think just because I have one hand I'm at a disadvantage.
Nathan: Hey no fair! No using your magic to make the snowball larger.
Garrison: Haha! This is so much fun.
Nathan: Do you hear that? It sounds like laughter.
Garrison: Now that you mention it you're right. Be on your guard.
Nathan: Penguins that laugh. I wonder if they are friendly. They look like regular penguins.
Garrison: Woah they are turning massive.
Nathan: Watch out for their wings.
Garrison: Woah if I didn't dodge that I would have died.
One of the penguin swiped at Garrison and its wing left a huge indentation on the ground.
Nathan: Those things wings are razor sharp.
The laughing penguins kept charging at us so I took out my bow and started reigning arrows at them. This was not effective as the arrows just broke when they hit them. What made things worse is that more of the penguins were coming out of their igloos. We are surrounded by an army of birds. I ordered Saber to use his ice magic. The penguins were not affected by it. This is when I learned that monsters that specialized or live in certain environments are not affected by certain type of magic.
Garrison: Think Nathan! What can we do in this situation?
Nathan: Start dancing now!
Garrison: Why?! Are you crazy. We will get killed.
Nathan: Just trust me. I saw this in a movie once.
The penguins stopped in their tracks and started dancing as well. Their laughter now sounded like a joyous one. They opened up a path for us.
Garrison: I can't believe that worked.
Nathan: Sometimes violence is not the answer. A little dancing is all you need.
The fifth level is covered with snow and giant ice pillars which also cover the top of the cave. It is like we are in a winter neverland. As me and Garrison proceeded we took some of Saber's fur to keep ourselves warm. I need to think of a strategy for the upcoming monsters. My magic doesn't work and ice magic doesn't either. I wish I had fire magic but I could not use it before. I have an idea. I still have Lyra's summoning scroll. I can take a gamble and use it, but what are the chances it will summon a powerful warrior.
Garrison: All this walking is making me tired. Let's ride on top of Saber to make the journey easier.
Nathan: Yeah I guess you're right.
Garrison: What the heck is that thing over there?
Nathan: A polar bear with cheetah legs. Now I have seen it all.
Garrison: It's getting closer at a fast speed.
Nathan: Scroll summoning. Come forth warrior from the past!
Ifrit: I am the spirit of fire Ifrit! What is your command master?
Nathan: Sweet I got a powerful warrior. Now Ifrit kill the polar beat cheetah.
Ifrit: My pleasure. Fire vortex!
Nathan: How long will you be here Ifrit?
Ifrit: 20 more minutes before I disappear.
Garrison: A fire spirit. That is so awesome.
Ifrit: Your words of praise flatter me. May I ask for your name master?
Nathan: I am Nathan. I am an adventurer and hero to those in need.
Garrison: I am Garrison. I am an adventurer and the right hand of Nathan.
Ifrit: Pleasure to meet you both.
Nathan: If you don't mind may you tell us your tale Ifrit?
Ifrit: No one has ever asked me that before. To want to know the tale of a spirit. You are truly a kind hearted human. I was born a human thousands of years ago. Before I became the king of the fire spirits I was but a man. I discovered fire and was captivated by it. My people were amazed by my discovery and called me a god. I later learned to harness the power of fire within and thus I created fire magic. I became so obsessed with fire magic to the point that when I died my soul became fiery and that is how I became the fire spirit king Ifrit. Before my death I taught many fire magic as well.
Garrison: That is some deep stuff.
Nathan: Obsession can lead to something like this. I do have to thank you because without your help we would have been in danger.
Ifirt: Thank you for hearing my tale.
Garrison: I see the exit behind that giant rock. Wait a minute the rock is moving. It's an ice golem. This must be the boss of this level.
Nathan: Ifrit attack it.
Ifrit: My pleasure. Maximum Nova!
Ifrit fired a gigantic fireball at the golem and then Ifrit dissapeared.
Nathan: I guess Ifrit ran out of energy.
Garrison: Don't drop your guard yet Nathan! The ice golem is not dead yet. It looks like it's going to attack. I will created a barrier with my shield. Increase size 20 times!
A giant ice wave was fired from the ice golem hitting Garrison's shield and freezing it completely. I was saved from the attack.
Nathan: I would use my rings but I got a better idea. I am going to fight fire with fire. The golem has crevices all around it. That must be its weak points. I'm going to fire arrows at it boosted with my wind magic to increase the force and the damage they will do. Distract the golem for me Garrison. Saber to me!
I got on top of Saber and started firing arrows at the ice golem. It was already weakened from Ifrit's attack earlier. Garrison distracted it by throwing spears at it which he had shrunk before we came inside the labyrinth and kept in his pocket. The golem was on it's last leg and Garrison dealt the finishing blow to it. I tossed him an arrow and he caught it and hit it right in the knee crevice. The ice golem let out a ghastly yell and died.
Nathan: Nice shot Garrison. You rock!
Garrison: Haha! I guess even with one arm I am still awesome. Level 5 has been cleared. I wonder what horrors the next level will bring us.
Nathan: I do hope it is easier than this one cause I am beat.
