It was seven in the morning. I was packing my things slowly. My parents asked me how was my meeting yesterday, but I didn't want them to feel sad so I just told them that it went well.
After a couple of minutes, my phone was ringing and it was my best friend Anaya. She was my best friend since I was really small. We both know each other for around seventeen years.
I was happy and quickly answered the call.
"Care to explain why you didn't call me yesterday and talk about the meeting with your husband?"
"OMG Anaya. Stop shouting. And it was great."
"Oh, Alisa? I know you don't like this at all. And I know that the meeting was not great too. Don't you dare to lie to me."
I smiled at how calm and how understanding she was. She is the only person who really knows me well.
"I know right. Let's talk about it soon. Why did you call cupcake?"
"Are you moving out today?"
She sounded sad.
"Yeah, why?"
"I'll miss you Alisa"
"OMG ANAYA, Come on, its not like I'm going to die. I will hang out with you"
"Yeah you should, or else I don't like seeing my best friend getting shots from me"
She laughed.
"Yeah right, okay bye cupcake. I'll catch you later. I'm packing up my things".
"Okay, don't forget to take my gift with you"
"Okay silly"
With that I disconnected the call. I was done packing my stuff. I took a quick shower and got dressed. As usual I chose to wear something simple. It was a blue sweatshirt and a light blue pant.
I slowly took my suitcase and made my way to the living room where my parents were already sitting. I saw them crying. I went and gave them a hug. To be honest I'll miss them so much. But I didn't want to cry because they will feel sad too.
"Princess, you know you have to take care of yourself. I won't be there to tell you to take care."
My mother said between light sobs. I felt really bad and I wanted to cry. But before I could say anything, the door bell rang. I walked to the door and unlocked it.
He was standing there with a cold expression. I didn't know why so I just motioned him to come inside.
"Good morning, Mr and Mrs.Willson."
Liam greeted and he sounded respectful. I was really shocked by his acting skills. Just wow, he does know how to act.
"Good morning, son."
My parents were already standing up and told Liam to take a seat. He nodded and sat beside me.
"Do you need anything son, coffee or tea?"
My mother asked and he replied,
"I'll go with coffee Mrs.Willson."
"Oh son, you don't have to be formal. You can call me mom."
He smiled and it was the first time I had ever seen it. It was beautiful and true. I quickly turned away when he saw me staring at him and smiling.
