"So that's it? You're going to leave to find yourself but leave us all behind?" Wilbur asked, shaking with anger. "You're just going to give up on me? Forget about me, what about Dad? And Techno? And Tommy?"

"Yes. I am leaving because you don't realize that since day one it's been you! I haven't been a part of the picture since our seventh birthday when you told me I wasn't allowed at OUR party." I stood my ground. "You gave up then, and I tried making it better. You didn't. But dad always chose you. It was always you. So I'm done trying to make it better. I am going out, on my own, to find my way in life. I hope to see you in the future."

"I hope I never see your fucking face again. Fuck you Wren." Wilbur spat as he climbed down the ladder. I heard the front door slam soon after.

I sighed and grabbed my bags off my bed. I took one last look around my room and smiled softly. I eventually made my way down the ladder.

"So you're actually going through with it?" Techno stated as I made my way into the kitchen.

"Yep. Stay in touch , yeah?" I went to hug him. "I love you big brother."

"I'll see you eventually, Birdie." He hugged me back. We were always close, I hope me leaving doesn't change that.

Once we parted I saw my father and my little brother standing in the doorway, close to tears.

"Bye dad. I will see you soon." I wrapped him in a hug. He sighed but wrapped his wings and arms around me. He always has a had a fatherly and comforting hug.

"Be safe Birdie, if I hear you getting into any trouble I'll drag you back here so fast!" There is his fatherly tone again.

I only smiled warmly as we turned away. I turned to Tommy and saw him in tears.

"Aw Toms, don't worry. I'll write and visit all the time." I wrapped him into a bone crushing hug and lifted him off the ground.

"I'm gonna miss you." Tommy pouted. "Please don't go."

"I have to buddy. I'm sorry." I wiped his tears as I set him back on the ground.

Being 16 and leaving home is so much harder than you would expect. Leaving my 19 year old brother, 10 year old brother, and a twin is hard. But after what Wilbur said to me, I think I'm ready to go.

I grabbed my stuff and walked out the cabin for the last time. I smiled and headed towards town. I made it to the forest line and turned around. I saw Techno holding a crying Tommy and Phil trying to calm a pissed Wilbur. I felt bad for leaving, but this is what I need. It's what we all need.
