Walking down the dirt path I smiled while gathering lilies from the valley. I never knew life could be so peaceful. Sure, I miss having people there for me, but it's nice having nothing to worry about. Well, that was until two years ago.I was walking into town when I saw what appeared to be a couple. One boy overly tall and one averagely short. It was a lovely sight to see. They must've been new to this neighborhood because I haven't seen them around.
I went on my way as usual until that night, until I heard a knock on the door while I was preparing dinner.
"Hello?" I asked, opening the door.
"Hi! We just moved in not too far from here, and you're sort of a neighbor, so we thought we'd introduce ourselves." The shorter of the two rambled excitedly.
"Oh, of course! Come in. My name is Wren." I opened the door for them to enter. I led them over to the living room.
"Lovely place here, Wren." The shorter beamed.
"I'm Ranboo, this is my platonic husband Tubbo." The extremely tall one said.
"Oh yes, sorry. I'm Tubbo." Tubbo apologized.
"Lovely to meet you. May I offer you two dinner? I have some steaks in the smoker and my fathers potato recipe is to die for!"
And that's how I met my only neighbors.
It's been 6 years since I left home. I'm now 22. These lands are so much more different now. I wish I had visited my family more. I miss my boys.
Going on walks daily was my favorite thing to do. Every once in a while, Ranboo would join, but not often. When I left, I moved to a city, but now I live in a small clearing in the forest. I go to town every once in a while, to see people and gather things. I'm glad I live in a secluded part of the forest, far from anyone but the happy (platonic) couple.
It's a simple life I live and I couldn't be happier with it.
"Hey Wren!" Tubbo said after I knocked on their door. "Ready to meet the little guy?"
"Totally! I can't wait to babysit him today!" I said cheerfully. "Lead the way."
"Ok, he has an obsession with gold things, so if he's cranky, give him this crown. I don't know if I mentioned it but he's a zombie pigman. His snacks are over here in this chest, along with his dinner, golden carrots. He loves playing in his room, so just use your communicator if anything happens. We'll be back in a few hours, I'm not entirely sure what we're going to do." Tubbo spoke quickly, making it hard for me to keep up but I did. We arrived at a ladder and he turned to me.
"Okay. Here we are. Ready to meet him?" Ranboo appeared in the doorway next to us.
"Yep!" I cheerfully stated. They walked up the ladder and I followed. "Hey Micheal!"
The little guy was so cute. He ran right to me and lifted his arms, signaling he wanted me to hold him. I scooped him up. One of his over all straps fell and I lifted it back onto his shoulder. He squealed and I set him back down. He ran to get some toys and brought them back to me. I started playing with him and he squealed at me.
I picked up what he said partially and responded, choppily, but as well as I could. I remembered some of what Techno taught me. Micheal seemed to enjoy having someone understand his oinks and started getting excited.
"You understand him? How?" Tubbo exclaimed excitedly.
"I used to have someone teaching me." I smiled at the thought of Techno.
