Hell can't just rain down on us here and now, we've just got our lives back and now we're here being targeted by the unknown.
I walked downstairs and out onto the porch with a glass of wine in my hand.
Jack was playing with his toy car on a huge box on the porch and I yelled "Dom you have a package out here! It's from Tokyo."
Jack looked over to me and yelled "Auntie!"
I smiled and picked him up "Hey, Cutie."
He giggled as I blew on his small little neck, then I kissed his forehead one last time and sat him down.
He then touched my stomach and said "You don't have a baby in there anymore?"
I laughed and said, "No, Jack I had them."
"So those were your babies mommy had!" He said excitedly
I laughed and said "Yes" pinching his cheek softly making him giggle and Brian came over picking him up, throwing him up, catching him, and said, "Hey buddy!"
I smiled and he kissed me softly.
"Ew!" Jack exclaimed making us laugh
"This will be over soon," he reassured kissing my hand
"We have to get the kids out of here," I said sitting my glass down, as Brian nodded taking Jack to the minivan that Adeya and Meadow were already in and asleep.
Dom came down the steps and said " 'Tokyo' What? Is Han trying to convert rne over to a turbocharger?"
We looked over at Brian who was helping Mia get the kids to get in the van.
"Brian in a minivan. Things have changed." Dom joked walking down the steps
"From the time I was on the verge of popping to me being in labor...he's been bothered by something. He won't tell me much other than his dad being abusive and not being there...We talked the other night. And I think we're missing the bullets more than anything." I sighed following behind him
"Let him settle in...Give him time." Dom said stopping at the bottom of the steps
"I just don't want him to be disappointed with domestic life. With me. I definitely don't want to let him down." I sighed
"He will never be disappointed with you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to him." Dom said with a smile holding my arms reassuringly
"Thank you," I said managing to pull myself into a smile as we hugged.
I walked down the last couple of stairs, hearing Dom's phone ring making me stop.
