NARRATOR POV:

Hours pass as Y/n and Niki talk about everyday life, the more they talked, the stronger their connection grew. Interests, hobbies, details were tossed at each other at such a rate, no one other then them would be able to catch it. Such a bond was created in the spand of a few hours.

Nothing else except talking to each other was on their minds, laughter ringing in their ears as they reminisce in old memories, euphoria is all that can be described.

Like two old friends that haven't seen each other in years, reunite and enjoy themselves.

"Really? PFFT- you did what??" Y/n struggled to keep a deep hearty laugh from coming out her chest as Niki tells her one of her childhood memories with her family.

"Please don't make me say it again!" Niki covers her face with her hands, in a fit of giggles while her face is a deep shade of red.

A few minutes pass by and both of the girls wipe away tears that pricked at their eyes after their giggle fest. A comfortable silence settles in as they just look at each other with content.

"Sooooooooo," Y/n speaks up, still wondering about one thing barely mentioned between the two that evening. "You still haven't told me where you spend most of your time." Niki paused and stared at y/n's lingering smile.

"You might already know the place." Niki flicks through the options in her head about whether or not it's a good idea to tell y/n if she was from L'manberg due to her connection to their enemy. Deciding on an answer as y/n replies.

"Really? So it's in the SMP?" Y/n's eyes hold curiosities and fascination.

"Yes and no.." She watches Y/n's frustration bubble at her words and lets out a small chuckle at her childishness.

"Come on Nikiiiiiii, you can trust meeeee!" Y/n whined.

"Ok, ok, but you can't tell anyone ok?" Niki leaned in towards Y/n and stuck out her pinky finger, "Pinky promise?"

Y/n immediately leaned in and hooked her pinky around Niki's with a child-like smirk and whispered, "Pinky promise."

"I'm from L'manberg." Silently waiting for Y/n's reaction to her statement, she sits back in her chair observing her expression.

Y/N'S POV:

She's from L'manberg.

L'manberg, L'manberg, wait, OH!

And everything clicked once again.

She looks Niki dead in the eyes and asks,

"Can you take me there?"

NARRATOR'S POV:

The jog back to y/n's home was quiet and filled with the slush of wet leaves getting crushed under her feet as she ran. She was out for longer than she expected getting caught up with Niki, she had lost track of time all together.

The sun was almost about to come up and Dream would wake up very soon. She was panicking. As she dodged each tree that was in her way and jumped over every root, the path disappeared. She was close but wasn't sure she would make it in time. The sun was peaking just starting to peak over the horizon and the sky was diluted with lavender and rose.

Picking up the pace, she spotted the roof of her home just in view. Turning ever so slightly to the left, she reached the balcony of her room and started searching for the tree she used to get down. Finding it, she took out her knife hastily and started to climb. Slipping more than she would have liked she made it onto the balcony with a light thump.

Checking through the glass doors before entering finding it clear, she slipped her way in and let out a sigh.  She made it.

Getting out of her outdoor clothes and changing into a night gown, she got into her now cold bed and tried to calm herself down a little. Slowing her heart rate and taking deep breaths, she looked at the clock to see the hands telling her it was 5:30am. Dream would be getting up now, and due to the loudish rustling down stairs, he was indeed awake.

Y/N'S POV:

I thought about what was said yesterday, the conversation that Dream had had with George. If the people who he was talking about really are in danger, then I can check on them now. The conversation I had with Niki then ran through my head,

"Can you take me there?"

"Why do you want to go?"

"I have a feeling something bad is going to happen and I want to make sure you and your friends are safe."

"Y/n is there something you know?"

"Not exactly, I just have a bad feeling! And if your thinking it's Dream, it's not!"

"Ok, it's ok. I have to talk with Wilbur about this first, if he says yes then, why not? It would be nice to have another girl around sometimes."

Her agreement to talk to Wilbur about me visiting got me thinking, maybe I can actually get to know these people before I decide to stay away from them for good like Dream wants me too. They might be in danger, but if they aren't then I just earned some new friends! Sapnap and George are fine but they only really stay around the house because Dream tells them to.

I haven't had a real connection like Niki before, and maybe if she trusts them, then they might be like her too!

My thoughts got interrupted by the sudden noise of boots coming up the stairs to my room, knowing full well who it was, I shut my eyes and got into a position that would look like I was sleeping. Slowing my breath down and trying to calm down my heart, afraid he would be able to hear it.

A small knock can be heard from the direction of the stairwell and a soft voice calls,

"Y/n? Are you awake?" Dream softly calls from a few feet away. A bit of shuffling before the next few words,

"Guess not hm." A small chuckle escapes his mouth just audible to my ears as I assume he leaves. I hear footsteps retreating back down the stairs as the front door opens and closes. I sit up and run my fingers through my hair gripping the roots. I wonder, does he do that every morning?
