Y/N's POV:

"Hello Y/n from L'manberg!"

"Charlie!" I run into Charlie on my way to the casino and am met with the goofy smile of a slime boy, his glasses almost falling off his face. Charlie was always a good person to run into.

"Are you going to the casino again today Y/n from L'manberg?" He beams down at me, his skin dripping lime slime on her hand. She wiped the goop off her palm, it was strangely warm but she didn't really mind; Charlie didn't mean to.

"Yeah, Alex wanted me to see his game." I fiddle with my uniform jacket and fold it over my arm, it was getting quite hot today. A warm breeze washes over Charlie and I, the temperature rising a few degrees; I don't think I'll need it.

"In that case, I'll take you there." Charlie unravels his shirt sleeve down to his wrist and stretches it out for me to take, how thoughtful.

"Thank you Charlie, you're always good company." We start walking towards the casino, Charlie telling me about what he called 'human jokes'; even when they were just jokes. It was an entertaining walk, only 5 minutes or so but Charlie made even the silliest things enjoyable.

Soon we were approaching the bright lights of the casino entrance, but before we made it to the front door, Charlie stopped walking beside me. I turn to him, what's wrong?

"Y/n from L'manberg?" Charlie looked deep in thought, he had a more serious expression on his face. Is he alright?

"Yeah what's wrong?" I furrow my eyebrows, the tone had changed suddenly. Did I do something's wrong? Charlie looked me in the eyes with a almost sad expression, his face scrunched a bit.

"You're not going to leave us right?" Leave? A small wave of shock filled my head, widening my eyes in confusion.

"No of course not, why would I leave?"

"Well it's just that you don't know a lot of people here and you talk about how much you miss you're other friends, so I just thought you might want to leave." Charlie looked away from me and down to his shoes, he looked worried but in a genuine way.

"And Y/n from L'manberg, you're really nice and talk to me a lot. I don't want you to leave." My heart swelled at his care, Charlie enjoyed my company? Charlie looked back up to me, his appearance reminding me off a puppy golden retriever.

"Alex was kind enough to bring me here and give me a home, not to mention I reconnected with Fundy and met you!" I pat his arm in reassurance and squeeze it gently, Charlie picks up his joyful mood from before and a youthful grin replaces his frown.

"Don't you worry Charlie, I'm not going anywhere any time soon.

THIRD PERSON's POV:

"So Slime, what'd she say?" Quackity leans against the front of his desk, folding his arms over his chest while Charlie stood in front of him a few meters away at the door.

"She said that because you gave her a home and reconnected her with Fundy from L'manberg, that she isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Oh! She also said that I was good company." Charlie recalled what Y/n had said to him outside the casino earlier that day. Quackity spun a casino chip between his fingers from the gambling round against the foreigner, he had won putting the man in severe debt to Las Nevadas.

"Good, good. You did well Slime." Quackity praised Charlie for his efforts in making sure Y/n was staying, he hadn't brought up the usual contract that would ensure she can't leave because it would probably scare Y/n off. So this was the next best thing.
