黑花: Dreams (III)

Notes:
1. These are short fics based on the Lost Tomb: Ultimate Note's version of Hei XiaZi (actor: Liu YuNing) and Xie YuChen (actor: Liu YuHan). Characters might seem a little ooc if you picture other versions of HeiHua here.
2. These characters are not as well-known internationally but I love them to bits! Anyway, these are just written for fun for a friend so please just enjoy them with an open mind.
3. Do give Ultimate Note a chance and watch it if you can. It's really different from the other Lost Tomb series (even the best in my humble opinion).
4. Hei XiaZi / Hei YanJing / Hei Ye is the same person.
5. Xie YuChen / Xie YuHua / Xiao Hua / Hua Er Ye is the same person.
6. Timeline for these stories is not in chronological order.

Xiao Hua squinted his eyes a little before opening them fully. Everything in his surroundings was lush green in colour save for a spot of black underneath him. 

"You're awake."

"Where are we?" Xiao Hua asked as he held his head up to look around. 

"I guess we're back," Xia Zi answered with a smile on his face.

"Back? Back whe- You mean the other us?" Xiao Hua asked as he caught on.

"Yeap. The little wooden hut is not far away from here. Wanna go take a look?" 

"I..."

Xia Zi immediately sensed the reluctance.

"What's wrong? You don't want to see them?"

"It's not that. It's just..."

"You're afraid of having to watch them die in front of you again?" Xia Zi guessed.

"En," Xiao Hua slowly nodded as he got up. He adjusted himself a little as he sat on top of Xia Zi's abs, conveniently using Xia Zi as his cushion on the forest floor. 

"Don't worry. You won't. I promise."

"How can you be sure?"

"Did you forget? You said that they die- I mean perished in the performing theater. We're now at the bamboo forest."

Xiao Hua still looked a little reluctant so Xia Zi gave him a quick peck on his cheek before getting up and pulling Xiao Hua along. 

Xiao Hua had to admit that he was definitely curious. But he was also unwilling to see the tragedy repeat itself in front of his eyes again. 

He followed behind Xia Zi reluctantly and before long, they were near the little wooden cottage. 

Xia Zi stopped so abruptly out of the blue that Xiao Hua almost bumped into him.

"Why did you stop?"

Xia Zi motioned to the nearby clearing with his head and Xiao Hua changed his focus onto the spot shown by Xia Zi.
