The Chronicles of the Black Flower [HeiHua]

黑花: Car

Notes:
1. These are short fics based on the Lost Tomb: Ultimate Note's version of Hei XiaZi (actor: Liu YuNing) and Xie YuChen (actor: Liu YuHan). Characters might seem a little ooc if you picture other versions of HeiHua here.
2. These characters are not as well-known internationally but I love them to bits! Anyway, these are just written for fun for a friend so please just enjoy them with an open mind.
3. Do give Ultimate Note a chance and watch it if you can. It's really different from the other Lost Tomb series (even the best in my humble opinion).
4. Hei XiaZi / Hei YanJing / Hei Ye is the same person.
5. Xie YuChen / Xie YuHua / Xiao Hua / Hua Er Ye is the same person.
6. Timeline for these stories is not in chronological order.

The tall leather-clad man walked in a cheery mood towards his black sports car but stopped dead in his tracks suddenly when he saw a sexy woman sitting on the hood of his car. He walked towards his car cautiously even though he still appeared carefree on the outside, whistling a little tune as he continued walking. 

 People might say he was being overly cautious but for one, he did not want to be careless and get offed for no good reason. And two, he did not want flower boy to catch wind of him supposedly "flirting" with some unknown woman. If that happens, life might really be worse than hell... 

*The woman stood up and looked him up and down; sizing him up while waiting for him to approach her. Xia Zi ignored her and proceeded to unlock the car. He was about to hop in but the woman suddenly shut the door and leaned on it. "Shouldn't you be returning this car already?" 

[*Note: This part is adapted from the beginning of the Hei Xia Zi movie]

Xia Zi smiled as realisation hit, "I still need it. I'll return it in two days." 

"Our boss, Mr. Xie needs the car now. You can borrow it again after he's done with the car," the woman said as she got in the car. 

[Note: Yes, sure you do, Xiao Hua. Out of the so many cars you own, you just had to pick this one.]

She drove the car off in an instant, leaving Xia Zi standing awkwardly on the street. Xia Zi sighed. "Looks like he's mad, alright." 

Xia Zi heaved another sigh before he suddenly perked up and started singing nonchalantly about green pepper fried rice. He walked towards a very old car parked behind the now empty spot of the sports car just now and acted as if nothing had happened a minute ago.

"We are a pile of green pepper fried rice ~
Green pepper fried rice ~
Super delicious ~
Don't you know~~~" 

Xia Zi sang cheerily as he struggled with the engine of the old car. 

He finally managed to get the engine going after a few minutes and drove off with a smile on his face. 

Not too long later, Xia Zi walked into the study room where Xiao Hua was in and just leaned his lanky body on the door frame. 

"Hmmph. Finally home? I thought maybe you forgot where your home is since you didn't bother coming back for so long," Xia Hua mocked as he crossed his arms in apparent contempt. 

Xia Zi could tell he was angry. Maybe angry wasn't the right word. His little lover was seething. One wrong move and the other guy might really start attacking him with his baton, or worse, with his long spear. 

Xia Zi only smiled and went over to give Xiao Hua a hug, only to have the grumpy doctor smack his hands away. 

"How can I forget when my beloved flower is here?" 

Xiao Hua snorted and said, "You didn't forget but you conveniently not know the way home until the car got taken away?" 

"You misunderstood me! I'm innocent! I was out there looking for something for you!" Xia Zi tried to convince Xiao Hua. 

He procured a small box from the pocket of his leather jacket as he said so. He tried going nearer to his grumpy lover again and when Xiao Hua did not try to smack him or push him away, Xia Zi finally closed in and hugged Xiao Hua from behind. Out of habit, he rested his chin on the shoulder of the shorter guy and snuggled closer. 

Xiao Hua was wearing a pink turtle neck and contrary to popular belief, Xia Zi actually loves it when Xiao Hua is in a sweater. The sweater makes Xiao Hua all warm and even more huggable. 

On the other end of the spectrum, Xiao Hua really did feel like thrashing this idiotic man up, but his curiousity got the better of him. 

"What have you been looking for?" Xiao Hua asked as he eyed the intricate silver box wrapped up in the long elegant fingers of the man behind him. 

"Oh, this?" Xia Zi asked as he opened up his fingers a little. 

Xia Zi opened the box to show Xiao Hua its content and Xiao Hua only stared at it wide-eyed. 

Xia Zi kissed him on the side of his face and whispered in his ears, "You thought I was being a heartless jerk and forgot, didn't you? Well, I didn't! Happy Birthday, Hua Er."

[Note: Happy Birthday, Hua Er Ye! Hope you have many sweet birthdays to come. Baked some desserts for his birthday and glad they didn't turn out too bad.]
