Sorry about not updating, I've been thinking about making my last look: Spy school: In Antarctica into another book with 1 chapter. And I have extra writing classes that took up my time.

Oh, and also I have music for you guys to listen to while reading.

Chapter 13

On the roof of the Temple Of Heaven.

1945 hours

It wasn't a little slide either, it was basically a tumble. Thankfully I didn't fall off and die. (Or injure myself and get captured) Unfortunately, I had made a lot of noise trying not to slide off.

I could hear the people who arrived being worried.

"Did you hear something?" One of them asked.

"Yes, I think we are being watched." Another one responded.

Crap.

"I think they are only cameras though." The first one said, "I have a device to disable any in a radius of 100 metres."

Static.

I messed up.

Then I felt a hand grab mine and pull me up.

I looked up, it was Erica's hand.

"Don't be so clumsy next time ok?" she teased

"Um" I blushed. "What are we supposed to do now?"

"Hope that we can still hear in on their plans? You seriously shouldn't have messed up." Suggested Alexander. I never thought I'd get a lesson from Alexander, but here I am.

"Shouldn't we be focusing on the fact that our cameras are disabled and somehow eavesdrop on them?" Interrupted Jessica

Cyrus gave her a look, impressed.

"We should, so before any of you nimrods mess up again. Let's try to get close to them."

Welp.

We all crawled closer to the location where the cameras were disabled at.

"What do you think they could have done to disable the cameras?" I asked Erica

"Probably a weak EMP signal."

An EMP, as we learned in Spy School, was an electromagnetic pulse that could shut off all electronics in a range. Last summer, I had stopped SPYDER from sending an EMP from the top of the eiffel tower and destroying all of western civilization's electronics.

"You're sure?"

"Is it really important if it's wrong?" Asked Erica

"Um, no." I said, embarrassed.

"Exactly."

We had already arrived within earshot of their conversation.

I heard a new voice, a woman's voice. It was familiar, but I couldn't find it in my memory of who it belonged to. "Are you sure that we are the only ones to know the real location that we are going? Ripley is pretty smart."

Everyone suddenly looked concerned but Jessica, however, looked more concerned than any of us. When I tried to ask her, she shushed me and signaled me to continue listening.

"I know, but they won't find this one." Said a man's voice.

So apparently they weren't planning to go to Tianjin. At least now all we had to do was to listen until they gave a hint to where they might be going.

"So the first letter is subtracted by 12 and the second letter is subtracted by 4." said the man again.

"Yes, that is correct," said the woman."

I didn't understand, but apparently Catherine did.
"MI6 sometimes uses the same code, basically it's the number in the alphabet the letter is corresponding to. So in theory, T is 20 subtracted by 12 is H. I is 9 minus 4 is E. Which province in China starts with H?" she asked.

Erica gave her mother a pointed stare and started listing off provinces in China that start with H. Apparently there are a LOT of provinces in China that start with H.

"Hainan, henan, hunan, hebei, hubei, and heilongjiang." Recited Erica.

Catherine sighed, "which one start with HE, then?" She said,

"Henan, hebei, heilongjiang"

Apparently, the Chinese really liked their HEs.

"Let's just continue listening for more hints." I said, trying to keep my voice low.

Then as if answering my questions, the woman asked "Was it Henan or Hebei again?"

She said this in perfect Chinese. I didn't know what perfect Chinese actually sounded like, but this was pretty close to how Erica said it.

"1 plus 13, now shut up before someone hears you say it."

14. Which was N. Henan.

"And before you ask," said the person who leaked the code to us. "26, 8, 15, 21, 14, 7, 25, 21, 1, 14, 20, 15, 23, 5, 18, and 5"

"Right." Said the women.

I might be a math genius, but I'm definitely not a letter genius. I turned to Catherine for help.

"Z-h-o-n-g-y-u-a-n-t-o-w-e-r" Answered Catherine."And my guess is that 5 means the floor in the tower."

Yay, took me so long to get the Zhongyuan Tower numbers corresponding to the alphabet. Hopefully I didn't mess up. Right behind you Tehimpossible! :D I shall finish my book before you.
