Taehyun brought Hayun to his apartment. It looked really expensive and big.
"Did you design the interior by yourself?" She asked looking around. "Yes I did, take a seat." Taehyun replied. "You've got a really good taste." she said still scanning the beautiful and modern interior.
"I'm hungry, let's order something first. What do you want?" Taehyun asked looking through the app to order food. "Cheese tteokbokki" Hayun replied with shining eyes as food always boosts her mood.
(A/N: I know I'm not the only one who can hear the above picture where Taehyun goes CHeese TTeokBOKki)
"Alright cheese tteokbboki for two. Let's go, I'll show you my work till the food arrives." Taehyun said as he walked towards a room with Hayun following behind in excitement.
He opened the door to reveal a room filled with many painted canvas boards. Near the window, there was a table filled with bottles of paint. Beside it was a white canvas board on an easel and there was a single brushstroke of yellow color on the board. It seemed like Taehyun wanted to paint something but as usual, he couldn't bring himself to do so.
Hayun looked around at the painted boards filled with portraits or sceneries. She was amazed looking at each piece. "I like your style, it's unique." she complimented. "Now I'm more determined to get you back on your track." she confidently announced. "I'm sorry, you tried your best today but I couldn't make any progress." Taehyun said avoiding facing her feeling guilty that he was wasting her time. "Hey don't be like that, you can't build a house in a single day, right? At least you tried, that's what matters. We can take it slowly, alright?" she moved towards him to face him. Her smile showed determination and hope which motivated him. He nodded giving a small smile.
The doorbell rang and the two made their way to the living room. Their food arrived. They began to dig in at the delicious food. Soon it started to rain. The light shower of droplets soon turned into heavy rain. They continued eating while talking about random stuff hoping that the rain would go away soon.
To their dismay, the rain neither stopped nor slowed down even after an hour had passed. "It's getting late, I should leave now." Hayun said looking at the clock. "Let's go I'll drop you." Taehyun replied grabbing his car keys. "No I'll take a taxi." Hayun protested "It wouldn't be safe for you to drive in this weather" she continued so they decided to wait again.
Taehyun went to the kitchen to make some coffee for the two. They continued to talk while sipping the coffee. Another hour passed but the rain didn't seem to slow down. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have planned this today, I'm being bothersome." Hayun sighed. "No don't be sorry at all. I honestly enjoyed hanging out with you. Also, I feel motivated because of your words." he replied. The two didn't really complained about having to spend more time together.
"The rain doesn't seem to slow down. I'll just take a taxi and go home." the girl was about to get up not wanting to become bothersome but Taehyun stopped her "Just stay...the weather is really bad out there and you can hear the thunderstorm too. So just for today." The two looked into each other's eyes as if it was a staring contest. "Okay, looks like I don't have a choice" she replied, screaming internally.
Taehyun showed her the guest room and since it was past bedtime they decided to go to sleep.
It was past midnight. Hayun woke up feeling thirsty so she made her way to the kitchen. It had stopped raining. She turned on the light and drank some water. Just as she put the glass down, there was sudden darkness and a small scream escaped from her mouth. It was pitch dark as there was a power cut.
She tried to go find her way to the guest room but stumbled on her way as she bumped into a couch. "OUCH!" she yelled in pain as she landed on her knees on the floor.
Taehyun woke up due to the noise. He turned on the light switch but it wasn't working so he understood that there was a power cut. He switched on the flashlight of his mobile and walked around to check if Hayun was alright. He reached the living room and saw a figure on the floor. His heart almost stopped in fear but soon he realized that it was Hayun.
"Hayun are you alright? What are you doing here?" He asked helping the girl to stand up and sit on the couch. "I came to drink water then there was a power cut. It was completely dark so I stumbled on my way to the room." she replied rubbing her knees to ease the pain. "Did you get hurt? Do your knees hurt?" He asked looking for any injuries on her body, almost panicking. "I'm fine, it's just that I fell on my knees so it hurts a bit but I'm okay" she assured him.
Suddenly the lights turned on. The two froze in their spot as they saw each other's faces at a close distance. Taehyun's sharp facial features almost hypnotized her. The boy was lost in her eyes, feeling himself being pulled like a magnet. Soon they pulled away from each other seeing how close their faces were.
"Let's go back to sleep...yeah." Hayun awkwardly said and the two rushed to their respective rooms.
