“I had learned from your sensei that you've gone on a lot of missions lately.”

Hinami's hands were on her knees as she stared at the floor while her father, Hiashi was in front of her. Her father was sitting cross-legged in front of the painting of her mother. The girl almost scoffed at the fact that her father wouldn't even call her sensei by her name. Misra-sensei had been her role model, the person who had shaped Hinami to be who she currently was. He made her seem so insignificant.

“Yes, father.”

Hinami had arrived home a few days prior but this was the first time she was speaking with her father. She had been busy preparing for the upcoming chunin exams. She didn't have time to come and see him, so he decided to personally go see Misra-sensei to ask about his daughter's missions. She would have preferred he asked her personally but she figured he wanted to know how she had done on her missions.

“I do hope that everything had been going smoothly. It would be a disgrace if a Hyuuga fails a mission,” Hiashi told his daughter. Hinami's hands formed into fists as she tried hard not to show any emotion on her face.

“Do you understand?” Hiashi asked her and Hinami nodded staring up at him. “Yes, father.”

“You are dismissed.” Hinami nodded before she stood up and left the room. She closed the door behind her and she made sure she was at least a few feet away before she slammed her fist against the nearby wall with enough force to not break it.

Her father frustrated her so much. He had said he would not interfere in her shinobi life but he kept inserting himself. She knew she had duties as the heiress but she was in fact still a shinobi.

“If a mission fails, then it fails.”

The girl sighed trying to calm herself. “It's as if he doesn't know me,” Hinami mumbled before she looked back to the door she had just exited.
While Hinami hate to admit it, she was just as headstrong and stubborn as her father. “I'm definitely my father's daughter.”

She turned to see Hinata and Hanabi standing in front of her with worried expressions on their faces. Hanabi looked ragged from training. Hinata stepped forward and she stopped in front of her older sister. “Did father scold you again?” Hinata asked Hinami. It was a clear indication that they knew that whenever her father called her to the hall, she'd get scolded.

Hinami shook her head.

“No, he didn't. He just wanted to know about the missions I went on,” Hinami said half lying. “Come on, let's go.”

She grabbed Hanabi's hand and they made their way to Hanabi's room. Since Hinami was the oldest she tried so hard to keep her younger sisters safe. Her father was no loving father and Hinata and Hanabi knew that, but she tried to at least give them the love that they deserve.

Hinami stared at her two team-mates while she leaned against the tree. They were practicing while they waited for their sensei. She had told them to meet them on their training grounds and they've been here for a little while now. Their sensei still had the habit of showing up late.

“Minha, you have to make sure to bend your leg before you try and land a kick,” Gino told the blue haired girl.

Minha groaned in frustration. “Okay but we all know I can't land a kick on you.”

Gino nodded to the Byakugan user. “Hinami can.”

Minha rolled her eyes at the boy. “Yeah but that's because she's Hinami. She's excellent, she doesn't really need much training like I do,” Minha told the boy.
