The four shinobi of Konoha and Pakkun had ran through the forest, taking the short cuts Pakkun had taken to go back to Konoha. They ran through mud, on water as they made their way to the Land of Waves. They were lucky that the Land of Waves was not too far from Konoha. It would have taken them days and not hours to reach the place.
“Mr Pakkun, are we almost there?” Minha questioned, using formalities.
The small dog glanced back to the genin behind him. “Just a few more kilometers and we'll be in the Land Of Waves. But I won't be able to go to the island with you four,” Pakkun informed them.
“It's fine. As long as we're there, we'll be sure to find Kakashi,” Misra-sensei told the ninja dog. They ran through the trees toward the path that Pakkun was currently leading them on.
Luckily, they made it to the small village in just half an hour's time. They now had to find a boat to take them to Land of Waves. This small village was the only village connected to the Land of Waves, it was just a shame, they didn't have a bridge for them to cross. It would have been more convenient.
The Hyuuga girl looked at her surroundings with wonder. She had never set foot in the Land of Waves before. This would be her first time.
“All right, this is as far as I go. Good luck,” Pakkun told the group when they stopped at the shore.
“Okay, thank you, Pakkun!”
Pakkun hummed before he disappeared.
“How are we gonna get across?” Gino questioned and Minha looked to the river with a frown. “Can't we walk on water to get to the other side?”
The Murakami boy looked to Hinami who just shook her head. “If you wanna exhaust yourself be my guest,” Gino told the girl. Minha stood up to retort back while Hinami looked around for a boat that might be able to take them across the river. There usually were boats, but why did it seemed as though boat riding was the last thing these people would be doing.
Her gaze fell on the remaining two boats, where one man was already seated in. It was as though he knew he'd be getting customers to take across the river.
“Misra-sensei, there's a boat we can use.”
The redhead looked over to the man and she made her way over to him while the three genin stayed behind observing the place.
“You three, come on!” Misra yelled out. The three looked to see their sensei already standing inside a boat with the man.
They joined the woman on the boat and the driver rowed off. The boat had a motor but the man wasn't using it. If they kept going at this pace, it will take forever for them to get to the shore.
“Isn't this going to take forever?” Gino asked the rower. “I want to avoid making any noise and attract attention to us. I'm already risking my life by bringing you over there.”
“What do you mean risking your life? Aren't you allowed to transport people to the island?” Minha questioned.
“Ever since some thugs started taking over the land, we aren't allowed to transport people over there.”
Misra didn't expect it to be this bad.“Why not?”
The rower just shrugged his shoulders.
