*Chapter 4*

"Yes! Here we are! Kamado and his friends are resting here!" Shinobu exclaimed, showing Y/N the room. "I'll be here if you need anything!" The insect pillar said with a cheerful smile as she walked away.

Y/N peeked her head into the doorway and saw Tanjiro kneeling next to his friend, Zenitsu Agatsuma's bed. He was crying and saying something about being happy that his friends were alive.

This is awkward. Should I go in? Or should I stay here? What do I write to them? I'll just go in and tell them what I came here to do.

Walking around from behind the doorframe, the female shyly revealed herself to Tanjiro and Zenitsu. Their attention turned to her as she entered the room.

"Y/N-sama! Pardon me for not noticing you!" Tanjiro stood up and bowed, Zenitsu confused with his friend's actions. The superior demon slayer waved her hands around for Tanjiro to stop bowing.

"Hey, Tanjiro. Who is the pretty woman?" Zenitsu nudged his friend in the side. "She is the daughter of Ubuyashiki, and is a higher ranked demon slayer." He said.

"Hey Y/N-sama, did you want to hang out with me sometime?" Zenitsu asked the female, giggling. Tanjiro hit his friend on the head. "Have some respect Zenitsu!"

Sorry to interrupt you Kamado. I just wanted to check up on you. I could tell you had some serious injuries, and I wanted to make sure you were doing alright.

Tanjiro smiled. "I'm doing fine, Y/N-sama! I do have some injuries, but they will heal up in no time! I'm honored that you came all this way to check on me!" He said.

So innocent... so cute... wait! Stop it Y/N! No! What are you doing?! Stop it now!

"If you want, I can introduce you to Nezuko, Y/N-sama. She may be sleeping now, but you can see if you want!" Tanjiro said in a friendly voice.

Yes, if it is alright with you, I'd like to properly meet her.

"Great! Let's go now! I'll show you to Nezuko's room!" Tanjiro left the room and down the hallway, he entered another, and on the floor, Nezuko's box.

The lower ranked slayer closed the curtains so sunlight wouldn't burn Nezuko as she came out of her box. "Hey, Nezuko! You awake?" Tanjiro opened the wooden door to see Nezuko awake. She crawled out and grew to her normal size.

"This is Y/N-sama! She is our friend!" He said to his younger sister. The superior demon slayer kneeled on the floor in front of the demon.

Hello, Nezuko. It's nice to meet you. I think your so adorable for a demon!

The smaller female happily hugged Y/N. "Aww! Nezuko seems to like you a lot! Good job Nezuko!" Tanjiro pet his little sister on her head gently.

But while the demon Nezuko was hugging the superior female, she started to get sleepy. Soon enough, the Kamado was in a deep slumber while resting her body against Y/N.

"Oh! Looks like she's asleep already! Sorry about that!" Tanjiro said in a whisper as he sweat dropped. The silent slayer shook her head and carried Nezuko into the bed that was in the corner of the small bedroom.

Tucking her in cozily, the female placed a hand on the sleeping Kamado's forehead. Rest well, Nezuko. Save your strength for when you go into battle.

"Let's leave so she can rest. We can talk outside." Tanjiro placed a hand on his superior's shoulder. Agreeing with a nod, Y/N followed him out of the room, closing the door gently behind her.

The two slayers sat on the engawa outside in the yard of the Butterfly Mansion. The sun was setting into a marvelous orange and pink ombré. The sight took Y/N's breath away.

"Y/N-sama, if you don't mind me asking, how did you become such a powerful slayer at such a young age?" Tanjiro asked his superior.

My father, Kagaya Ubuyashiki was the one who made me what I am. He asked multiple retired Hashiras to train me. During the training, he would be strict about me working hard and doing my best. Everyday, I worked twice as hard as a Hashira would. I hardly had any breaks.

"I see. You worked super hard to become the strong demon slayer you are now! I truly respect your skills and strength, Y/N-sama!" He smiled and continued to watch the sunset.

"Oh, you don't have to address me by my last name! Please, call me Tanjiro from now on!"

Alright. I'll call you Tanjiro from now on.

"Hey, I don't think I ever mentioned this to you, but your really beautiful, Y/N-sama. I know I see a lot of pretty women out there on missions, but you stand out from them. I haven't seen you fight, but your breath style sounds elegant and graceful, just like you!" The lower ranked slayer said, a hint of blush spreading across his cheeks.

Wait, he said I was beautiful....? Me...? I'm elegant and graceful? I've always thought the female Hashira were more elegant than me. No one has ever complimented me before like you have. Tanjiro...

I thank you, Tanjiro. Your words are kind and very heartwarming. No one has told me such things. I'm glad you did though.

When Y/N held up her paper to show him, she covered her face a little bit out of embarrassment. Mainly because her cheeks became flustered and hot.

"Your welcome, I just had to say it. I mean, who wouldn't? If anyone disagrees with me, I will surely head but them!" He looked to his side, out of pure embarrassment.

Oh, well, it's getting kinda late. I should go home now, my mother is probably wondering where I am.

"Alright! I'll see you later then, Y/N-sama! I enjoyed our talk!" He waved to the female as she walked away from him, waving back also.

Tanjiro... so sweet and kind. The purest heart I've ever seen. I'm feeling something. My heart is beating slightly faster. My stomach is also fluttering too. Is this what I think it is...?
