Chapter 8

I woke up Monday morning to the annoying sound of my phones alarm clock. After getting ready and putting my hair up into a bun with my fringe and the hair by my ears sticking out.

I put on some black eyeliner and mascara and went downstairs.

Kat and Hunter were dead to the world on the couch. I figured I could use my new powers to my advantage so I thought about water and let it out all over the couch. I wasn't too worried about the mess and if was too much damage I could always get another couch.

They both jolted up and their eyes were practically coming out of their head. "Wake ya'll asses up, bitches!"

"What was that for?!"

"Uh like I said, you needed to wake your asses up. Simple as that."

"But did you need to do it like that?! That was quite unnecessary."

"Yeah Yeah. Go get ready Shelly. Time for school."

She marched off and was back in only a few short minutes with a Fall Out Boy tee, skinny jeans and some black converse with eyeliner, mascara and gold eyeshadow to match th gold letters on her shirt. She grabbed her green book bag and walked over to me.

I grabbed my blue book bag and headed to the door. "Bye Hunter. Please feed the dogs some raw meat in the fridge the cats food is in the bag by the garbage and the birds food is in the pantry. Thanks."

"Why do you hate me? Like I do nothing to you and you just abuse me." She said to me as we got into my car.

"You know I love you Kat. I only did that this morning because it thought I'd try out my new powers."

"New powers?"

"Yeah. The council gave them to me. Long story short, someone is killing mortals near my house and they needed me to investigate so they gave me the powers to help me."

"Oh ok."

When we got to school, many people were out in the parking lot on their cars talking. I spotted Aaron near his car and the bitch Stacy was on his shoulder but he paid her no attention. He waved to me and I waved back. She turned his head and lead him into a kiss I rolled my eyes because she just wanted attention. She then turned back to me and waved.

I turned around and led Kat inside. We went to the office to get her schedule which should just be a copy of mine.

"Schedule for Katerina Tasker."

"Damn Hayden. Putting my government out there like that."

I stifled a giggle and grabbed her schedule from the secretary that looked like she just came from the Jersey Shore she was so tan.

"Shut up and come on before we are late for class."

She followed and we went to ur first class of the rotating schedule which was math my favourite subject.

Mr. Lewis was at the board writing our warm ups that looked too easy and I would probably finish the ten problems in ten minutes. I began to walk up to him to introduce Kat but she stopped me.

"Is that the teacher?"

I nodded. "Wow times have changed."

She then did this little shaking thing like she was regaining her confidence for whatever reason and walked over to him. I followed her in fear of what was to come.

"Hi, Mr. Lewis is it?"

He turned around. "Ah yes and you must be the new student Katerina Tasker. Are you and Hayden sisters?"
