Give me one, cause one is best. In confusion, confidence, I give me piece of mind and trust, but don't forget the rest of us.
Politik, Coldplay.
We continue loading people on the ships, when a big boom shakes my concentration. I look up to see the War Machine shooting down robots. My mouth drops. I have heard of the War Machine, and heard what he is capable of. I shake off my awe and continue to load people as quickly as I can. As the ship I am loading people on begins to fill, I run over to where the Clint is aiding people onto another ship. I quickly jump into action, helping both young and old, male and female, get on the ship and out of harms way. I hardly pay attention to the chatter on comms until Wanda shakes my shoulder and points to her earpiece. Listening I hear Stark reeling off orders to War Machine.
"Avengers, time to work for a living." Stark says, and in that moment I feel something click into place, like a missing part of me was somehow made whole. Including Wanda, Pietro and I as Avengers unlocked something within me, opened a new doorway. The love I felt transcribed into a new ability. I looked over at some nearby rubble, focussed on it and lifted me hand...but nothing happened. I shake my head and throw my arms up in exasperation at the ridiculousness of the thought, that is until I hear a loud bang behind me. The rubble I had focussed on landed on top of a nearby car. Moving my arms again, I manage to life the rubble up and throw it into a nearby pillar.
"Well that's new." I hear Wanda say behind me. Turning towards her I grin and let out a loud laugh. But we don't have time for laughter and joy, not when there was still a homicidal robot to defeat. We made our way towards the church in the city, where the other Avengers had already assembled. Clint, Wanda and I walk in and are immediately greeted by 'Etro.
"What took you so long?" He chuckles out. "Are you good?" He asks us both.
"Yeah. We're good. Elena it seems has unlocked a new power." Wanda says smirking at my discomfort at the attention on me.
"Oh really?" 'Etro asks, intrigued.
"Yeah, turns out I'm telekinetic." I bluntly state, earning a raised brow from Clint and a mouth drop from 'Etro.
"Must run in the family." Clint mutters, going off to join the rest in protecting the core. I nod my head and begin to head over to the core as well, but I'm stopped by my brother.
"You can't just say something like that and wander off." 'Etro scolds, making me flush in embarrassment.
"Surely you two can leave this until after we get out of here?" Wanda asks, halting a potential argument before it even starts. We both nod our heads, thinking of it as an acceptable compromise. We head over to the others as Stark fires at a robot, destroying it instantly.
"Romanoff." Stark warns. "You better not be playing 'hide the zucchini'." 'Etro throws a rock at Starks head, who turns in confusion, but sees 'Etro dramatically pointing at me. "Oh hush it, Flash, I'm sure she's heard it all before." He says, dismissing my brother and concentrating on the conversation with Nat.
