Every little thing to try and get me back, pleasin' all my questions just so I forget,I never felt as lonely as with you.
LONELY - Bishop Briggs
We stand outside of a church, after receiving a message to meet someone there. Needless to say it piqued my siblings' curiosity. I follow in behind my siblings, my powers scouring the building for who asked us to meet us and what their intentions could be. But to my confusion, I felt nothing. I look to Wanda and she nods, saying she doesn't feel anything either. We walk in together, Wanda and 'Etro in front of me, shielding me. In the centre of the first room there is a throne, with someone-something sitting on it, I can feel Wanda's confusion and 'Etro's caution upon seeing the figure.
"Talk. And if you are wasting our time..." Wanda begins threateningly until the being interrupts.
"Did you know this church is in the exact centre of the city?" His voice sounds too mechanical to be human, yet too human to be machine. The deep timbre rumbles and ripples over the sounds of the city.
"The elders decreed it so that everyone can be equally close to God. I like that. The geometry of belief." I try to feel his emotions again, my eyes shining gold in the dark with the strain and push of my powers. Out the corner of my eye I see Wanda's eyes too are glowing. Red like blood, glistening in the lack of light.
"You're wondering why you can't look inside my head. Why you can't feel my emotions." I recoil slightly at his poignant words, and the almost bitter like sound to them. I look to Wanda whose red eyes have dimmed, like my golden eyes, as protectiveness surges through her and 'Etro's emotions. 'Etro slightly angles his body in front of mine and Wanda takes the figures attention away from me.
"Sometimes it's hard. But sooner or later, every man shows himself." Wanda is now positioned in front of both 'Etro and I, able to protect us should the situation turn. The figure then stands letting his cloak fall to the ground revealing himself to us. I unsheathe my Katana in preparation for a fight. What I see before me, is the robot Hydra was attempting to create - the robot Hydra failed to create, communicating with my siblings and I. 'Etro's hand comes up protectively in front of me, just above where I point my Katana. Wanda moves back towards me, effectively placing herself between the robot and me.
"Oh, I'm sure they do. But you needed something more than a man. That's why you let Stark take the sceptre." The robot replies with aloof, unattached, calculated words, that are aimed to confuse my sister, make her second-guess herself."
"I didn't expect..." I glance to 'Etro, noticing the Robot's tricks unwinding her certainty. "But I saw Stark's fear, I knew it would control him, make him self-destruct." Wanda justifies, her voice strong and defiant. I lower my Katana but don't sheathe it, not knowing whether the robot's intentions could be violent.
"Everyone creates the thing they dread. Men of peace create engines of war, invaders create avengers, people create...smaller people? Uh...children! I lost the word there. Children. Designed to supplant them, to help them...end." The robot rambles, as though it is more human than machine, intriguing both my siblings and I. Wanda steps forward leaving her protective stance behind as she questions the robot.
