friday, 00:00

We waited.

00:01

'Don't they check all the rooms ?' I ask in a whisper.

'No, only the 12th floor, we have a lot more freedom.'

The room was dark, it had to look like we were all asleep.

'So there will be no one from the 12th ?'

00:02

'Some of them come but it's harder for them to leave so they arrive later, most of the time.'

00:03

I sat down, my back agains the cool door. We hear a few steps pass, probably some of the personal heading home. Almost all the people who work here leave on friday to go home as they stay here during the week.

00:04

Then the footsteps stopped. It was dead silent and dark. There was no source of light. Only darkness.

00:05

Alyssa moved besides me, I stood up and slowly we opened the door, pressing the card over the small ipad. The lock clicked and we wait for another minute before snucking into the dark hallway.

I don't know how exactly but we arrived at a door that lead to the stairs, a few others had joined us by now.

00:10

We quickly head down the stairs, there was a lot as we were still located on the 10th floor.

After what seemed like forever, we were finally on the first floor. It was deadly quiet here as well. Instead of heading to the door that lead to the office, we opened another door, leading to the exit.

We entered a cold grey hallway, it was old and not taken care of. There was no sign of life in here and I tried to get away as fast as possible.

The old small hallway space lead to a huge metallic door, the same type as on the roof. This was the backpart of the building. The stairs no one uses but the guards. The door was to my surprise not locked. I look at Alyssa in confusion when she easily opened the door heading outside.

She seemed to notice my stare.

'I know the guard that is supposed to lock all the doors, he leaves this one open every friday' she winked at me.

'And with that you mean, I hooked up with him ?' It was another girl, she came down the stairs as well, a few other girls I recognise as Alyssa's other friends follow behind. The girl that spoke, Celyse I think was her name, I saw her around but never spoke to her personally.

Alyssa laughs a little at her comment.

'Exactly that.'

I wouldn't blame the guard. Alyssa was beautiful.

We all left through the door. I inhaled the fresh smell of woods around us. It was a little cold outside, my arms were freezing but I didn't care.

The sky was beautiful tonight. I looked up, enjoying the view. The others followed us outside. For a moment everyone stood still, when there was no sign of anyone else outside, we finally moved.

And then we ran.

The cold wind blowing all of my hair back. I felt oxygen fill up my lungs. I no longer felt my weak knees. I only heard the small giggles and laughs around me. Evy's hand was warm. Alyssa was running besides me, filming our little escape.
