WOOYOUNG extended a hand out, gathering a collection of raindrops in his palm. "Doesn't look like it'll stop anytime soon."

The rain was heavy enough that they could barely see the building across the street.

He glanced over at Miki, who stood shivering under the thin cover of the hospital's entrance. She wrapped her coat tighter around herself, but after catching his gaze, quickly offered a warm smile of reassurance.

Unravelling his cashmere scarf, he moved closer with a small tsk of disapproval.

"Idiot," he said softly, wrapping the scarf around her neck gently. "All that TV watching, but you couldn't bother to watch the weather forecast?"

She buried her smile beneath the scarf, inhaling his scent. "I was bored, okay? Plus, you're the idiot for forgetting to pack a lunch."

They watched half-amusedly as someone ran through the rain towards their car, holding a leather briefcase above their head.

"See?" Miki grinned triumphantly. "Other people are willing to brave through the rain, but a certain someone wants to hide in the hospital."

Wooyoung sighed. "It's not hiding, its called not catching a cold."

"We have my umbrella, and your car is only two blocks away."

He shook his head.

"And I don't want to miss my favourite show! It's starting in one hour."

No response.

Miki crossed her arms with a frustrated sigh, walking away to stand at the very edge of the sheltered entrance.

He gave her a stern look. "Really?"

She turned her back. "Yes, really."

Miki knew their age difference was showing, but she had already made her bed. Stubborn? Nah. She only knew determination.

"Miki." There was a note of resignation in his voice. "Is this show that good?"

"Yes!" She protested. "And there was a certain character I wanted you to see."

"Oh?"

"Not anymore."

Wooyoung stared at her back, running a hand through his hair with frustration.

After a brief period of waiting, she heard a pair of footsteps approach her. She still refused to turn around.

"Well? We can't keep the character waiting."

He was standing beside her, except the rain was falling heavily on the umbrella he was holding.

Mood instantly lifted, she stepped into the safety of the umbrella, slipping her arm through his bent one. "You're gonna love it!"

He gave a grunt of disapproval. "I better."

As they walked, Miki shuffled closer to him in order to avoid a large puddle. Once they passed, she immediately gave him space once again.

"Don't."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Huh?"

"Move away. Don't, otherwise your shoulder will get wet."

"Oh." She pressed herself closer, grip tightening slightly on his arm.

Wooyoung eyed the persistent downfall. Yes, it definitely wasn't stopping anytime soon.

The thought made him smile.

The thought made him smile
