LAVENDER.
Miki found a bouquet of lavender at her doorstep, almost trampling them in her hurry to get to class.
After careful examination, she didn't find a note. However, she was confident in who she thought had sent it. The very thought kept a smile on her face the whole day.
She was so cheerful, she missed the various looks given to her by her classmate Lucas.
"Hey, Miki..."
She looked over at him. "Yeah?"
Lucas studied her carefully, as if he was expecting a different reaction. "Never mind," he replied eventually, turning his attention back to the front of the class.
That night, she was absentmindedly chewing her dinner, admiring the way she arranged the flowers in a vase.
Wooyoung shuffled into the kitchen, scratching the back of his head. He stopped at the sight of her.
Miki smiled widely, which deepened the crease between his brows. "Hey, thanks for the flowers this morning... it was sweet."
He crossed his arms. "I don't remember giving you flowers."
"Oh."
"You mean these?" He reached forward to feel some of the stalks, before letting his hand drop back down to his side.
Miki's smile had long fallen. "Yeah.."
"Of course not," he scoffed, and that was that.
