Kids, the title says it all, but here's what I've learned about Karens:

No one weaponizes whiteness against black people like a white woman's scorned.

White Karen: SHE'S VIDEOING ME MAKE HER STOP!!!

Black Woman: No ma'am, you keep claiming I'm threatening you so I'm recording to protect myself.

White Karen: GET HER PHONE AWAY!!!

"Karen" became popular for private white women for two major reasons:
It's a common name for a white woman and there's a long history of white women pulling this on black people.

The reason why white women do this so much is because they get away with it. Imagine all the times where a racist Karen did this before someone caught it on camera.

Emmit Tills was murdered in 1955 because a white woman lied and said he whistled at her on the streets. While that's less likely to happen today, the sentiment is still the same; white women require protection.

This is so-called benevolent patriarchy that positions white women as Disney Princess in need of saving from any threat; real or imagined. Except it's also saving them from accountability.

I find it more appalling when white women do this to a black woman because it shows that your whiteness is more important than solidarity with another woman. Black women and shit on more than anyone and they never get to feel what you do; protected and cared for by those around her.

The people around this black woman recording were more concerned about this white woman who was throwing a fit than the African American trying to protect herself. That's outrageous. White women need to do better.
