Chapter 27

At the Charming's loft, Ruby and Emma were sat opposite each other with pieces of a crib between them as Emma tried to make sense of the cribs instructions.

"I thought your cursed life but Henry's together..." Ruby said.

"She...I...She did, but this is..." Emma said as David walked over.

David crouched beside Emma, "I've seen enemy battle plans that were easier to decode than this," David said.

"That confusing?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah," David said.

"Let me see... Alright, it says, take Screws E with Washers D through Bar C, using Wrench F, which is..." Emma said.

"Not provided," Ruby said as she looked for the wench.

"Why don't you just call Marco? He's really good at this sort of thing," Mary Margaret said.

"No!" Ruby, Emma and David said in unison looking at her.

"No. We're fine," David said.

"Let's see the instructions," Emma handed it over to Ruby who took the large piece of paper and looked at it, "I'm lost already," Ruby said and handed it back to Emma.

"Should we even be doing this? Ever since the showdown between Regina, Rose and the Wicked Witch, we haven't seen Zelena or Gold or Jefferson at all. Shouldn't we be focusing on her next move?" Mary Margaret asked.

"We are thinking of her next move... But we can't stop living," Emma said.

"And this crib is a statement. We're not gonna lose another baby," David said.

Rose Red, Regina and Giselle walked in, "And thanks to us, you won't. We're finished," Rose Red said.

"So? Did it work? Were you able to put up a new protection spell?" David asked as he stood up.

"One that can't be undone by blood magic, which means Zelena won't be able to put her hands on that baby," Regina said.

"What about Gold? He's got your darkness back," Emma said.

"He won't be able to break the barrier... He may have my darkness but in my short time with it, I was darker... He doesn't compare to this," Rose Red said.

"And idea why Zelena would want to take the baby?" Mary Margaret said.

"The number of spells involving baby parts would surprise you," Giselle shivered, "It's disgusting," Giselle said.

"That greenie is clearly one twisted witch. But as long as we're in here, or Rose's, we're safe," Regina said.

"That's useless. I think we need to stop playing defence and start taking the fight to her," Emma said as she stood up.

"Did you not see how I barely outwitted her yesterday? She has magic... Powerful magic...Rose used her dark magic, we have no idea what light magic will do to her... And I'm not ready to find out," Regina said.
