The entirety of their group was sat at the longest table the restaurant had to offer, one of the few rare occasions that they've gone out and weren't forced to split up due to their large size. And while those that were there that night were only a part of their immediate friend group, there was still a whopping number of 12 sat around the table. 5 seats were on each side whilst a person was sat on each end, Lux and Tobi on opposite ends of the long table.

As for Mia, she was sat with Vik on her right and two empty seats on her left. Cal and Harry, to no surprise, were both running late and as soon as she got to the restaurant, she realized she'd have to end up sitting beside them. To be fair though, she herself was also late.

So when the two of them eventually walked through the door and towards the table, she couldn't help but look down at the drink that was in front of her. As soon as she saw Harry, she felt her heart beat a little faster in her chest, silently praying to herself that he wouldn't sit down next to her because she really just didn't know what to say to him.

Her prayers, however, were answered as Cal pulled out the seat besides her to sit himself down on the chair, excitedly saying hello to the rest of the table.

Everyone was catching up, conversations going in and out between a couple of smaller groups and the whole table. Mia was happy to be reunited with all her friends after being away for a few weeks, but she couldn't help but glancing at Harry from the corner of her eye as everyone spoke about their holidays.

"How about you, Mia? How was your few weeks at home, were you able to get some rest?" Tobi asked from the other side of the table, which in turn caused all heads to turn towards Mia.

"Yeah, it was alright," She nodded, her voice sounding a bit out of it, "good to see the family all together."

"Sure," Cal scoffed, "When she wasn't sulking away in her room."

"I was not sulking!" Mia exclaimed, sounding offended though she knew it was true.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Mia." Cal chuckled, rolling his eyes at the girl beside him.

"Is Matt coming to visit anytime soon?" Josh asked her, though his voice sounded strained considering he was only really asking to be polite.

Mia couldn't help but notice Harry shift uncomfortably in his seat at the sound of her boyfriends name, but it was Cal's groan that everyone was busy laughing at.

"Yeah, uhm," She mumbled, "I'm not really sure, he said something about having a work thing down in London so he might come for a few days. But we haven't really spoken much about it."

"I'd like to shove his work thing up his-" Cal started to mutter bitterly before being cut off.

"Cal!" Mia exclaimed, wide eyed.

Everyone started to laugh at the two, which relieved Mia that the subject was over and hopefully being changed soon. Matt was the last thing on her mind at the moment, considering all she could think about was Harry and what to say t ohim.

"I could not be more over this shit weather," Ethan announced to the table, earning a few mumbles of agreement in return.

"You know, it's been a while since we all went on holiday together." Vik spoke up from besides Mia, causing all heads to turn towards him.

And it was true, the group hadn't gone on a proper holiday where they were all able to go in over a year. With the exception of Mia, who had only joined the group in the past few months, the rest of them were itching for a group holiday like the ones the used to take.
