toni watches couples from afar, wanting to have someone like that. she just wants to be loved, since she was neglected from it her whole life. she wanted someone to hold her, and she wanted to be close to a person like that.

Toni walked on stage, feeling all the confidence leave her body. Looking at how big the crowd was, she didn't want to sing some dumb song she wrote, but when she saw her best friend give her thumbs up, she closed her eyes, and imagined no on was there but her best friend.

The music began to play, and Toni began to sing.
"That wasn't funny but she laughed so hard she almost cried
They're counting months they've been together almost 49
He's making fun of how she acted 'round the holidays
She wears a ring but they tell people that they're not engaged
They met in class for metaphysical philosophy
He tells his friends "i like her 'cause she's so much smarter than me"
They're having talks about their futures until four a.m.
And I'm happy for them (I'm happy for them)"
Cheryl watches the brunette closely from her spot in the crowd

Toni's breath was moving fast, as the crowd clapped. She smiled at them before walking off the stage, when she found none other than Cheryl Blossom waiting for her.
Toni had always had a crush on this girl, but never had the nerve to walk up to her.
"You know..." She stated taking a step closer. "You don't have to be a person watching if you don't want to be..."
"What do you mean?" Toni asked as the girl twirled a strand of pink hair between her fingers, the butterflies in her stomach going crazy.
"I mean, meet me at Pop's at 4:30."
And with that, the redhead walked off.
