Welcome To National City

Barry was currently walking around the office, getting introduced to everybody by his new boss Kara. He didn't know why but he really liked this work environment. It may have been slightly because of his boss.  After introducing him to everyone, she took him to her desk and introduced him to a short, black-haired guy.

Kara: " Barry, this is Winn; he's the IT guy. Winn, meet Barry; he's the new reporter." Kara said, introducing Barry to Winn.

" Hey, I'm Winn. Nice to meet you"  Winn shook Barry's hand.

" Nice to meet you too; I'm Barry, Allen," Barry replied with a smile.

Kara: " You two get to know each other; I'll just inform Ms. Grant and come," Kara said and left.

Winn: " So, Barry, where are you from?"

Barry: " Central City"

Winn: " The City of The Flash, you're lucky."

Barry: " You know about him?" Barry asked, intrigued. He didn't think that the people of this city would know him. 

Winn: " Know about him? Dude, I'm one of his biggest fans. I have a rare action figure of his. I had to fight my way through the store to get it." Winn says and shows him the figure. Barry gets excited and continues to talk to him.

Barry: " Tell me more..." Barry asks, and they continue talking. 

Meanwhile, Kara goes to Cat's office to inform her that Barry came. 

Kara: " Ms. Grant, The new reporter is here." Kara says and enters the office.

Cat: " Tell him to send his sample article to me and bring him." Cat says, and Kara leaves to bring Barry in.

As she goes to her desk, she sees Winn and Barry talking enthusiastically. She uses her superhearing and finds that both talk about how the Flash is the coolest superhero. Kara immediately feels jealous( again) as she goes to their desk.

Kara: " What are you two doing?" 

Barry: " Oh, we're just talking, boss."

Kara: " Gossiping during work is strictly not allowed. Barry, send your sample article to Ms. Grant and come with me. Winn, get back to work." Kara said sternly.

" But you were the one who told us to get to know each other," Winn says as Kara turns around and shows Winn her eyes light up in red without Barry seeing.

" On second thought, Good idea," Winn says, feeling scared. 

Barry: " I've sent it, Boss," Barry says, and Kara takes him with her.

Kara: " Ms. Grant, he's here," Kara says as Cat slowly looks up from her laptop.

Barry: " Good Morning Ms. Grant, I'm Barry, the new report-" He is interrupted by Cat.

Cat:" Reporter, I know. Your article on the chemical pollutants present in Central City's water supply is quite good, Mr. Allen. "

Barry: " Thank you, Ms. Grant. I wanted to highlight the issues that aren't out in the spotlight. Everyone sees things Superheroes do, but small issues such as these aren't. Such issues need to be addressed. "

Cat: " That is a delicious motto, Mr. Allen. I also like to highlight such small issues." Cat replies. She continues praising Barry. 

Kara silently listens to all this. Ms. Grant was praising Barry's work like it was the best article she ever read. The cat was clearly flirting with Barry. Ms. Grant was talking about how small issues were important. Kara never got that much praise for an article. Barry just came, and he was already en route to becoming the most popular reporter in the office. Kara was raging with jealousy. First, he comes in and immediately bonds with Winn, and now, he's wooing Ms. Grant.
